Best cost efficient food for SMNs?

I use buttons on SMN because I geared for Det. You do need a bit more accuracy for SMN compared to BLM, so if you need acc food eat it. In that case Stuffed Cabbage is fairly cheap. Deviled Eggs are an equal option if you prefer Crit. These are all Lv 45+ foods, they have good benefits (if HQ) considering the gathering/crafting requirement is low compared to the 2 star foods.

Why shouldn't I be using Acc food to make hit caps? As BLM I can net 27 Crit from an Apkallu Omelette, but only 15 Det/10 Crit from Buttons(cannot make cap for risotto's without sacrificing LARGE amounts of Crit/SS). As well, if using Buttons, I technically don't gain anything, because the pieces that are required to swap out cause me to lose Crit, Det, or SS would reduce my stats enough that Buttons simply put me at where I was before eating food in my other set of gear that needs ACC food to make cap.

It's generally considered better to hit accuracy cap with gear and make up DPS stats with food. It really depends on the individual situation.

SMN's should focus on meeting ACC caps with gear and then eating Buttons or Risotto.

Food buffs do not affect Garuda, and she has a slightly higher acc cap than Casters.

Yes, I don't use SMN for second coil, his acc is fine for everything else, hence buttons. If I did run SMN in second coil, I'd be eating acc food for sure til I got more caster pieces.

OP - is that your raiding gear set for SMN on the lodestone? You need a lot more accuracy for first coil, around 440-450 IIRC. Farm turn 1 and get that caster ring for sure, actually just farm t1, t2 and t4, get what you can, fill in the rest with myth/soldiery.

The reason SMN needs more acc is because of their pet. The master's acc cap is same as BLM, the pet's is about 20 points higher. Pet does not get food effects. Went over this in first reply. SMN cannot use accuracy food.

OK. Guess I've been misunderstanding that whole time then. Must've been some sneaky way to nerf SMN dps, require them to have more accuracy without food. What a crock of shite.
