Yea, it was the DF. The PF is fairly dead on Moogle unless you want Hunts or '100% EXP, kick if fail' EX runs, lol, and I don't have a static group yet.
I was really tempted to do some reporting, but I thought I would let it slide this time and I just went to bed instead :P

Tried it again this morning and got a much nicer group. We still failed, but I feel like I'm getting better with every try, so all is not lost for my healing career, haha.

It took me many many tries to pass Garuda EX, and even that was like pulling teeth. There's just so friggin much that can go wrong in that fight (most of which you as healer can't really affect outside of keeping everyone alive) that it's not even funny. I'm sure now that I've passed it, doing it again would be much easier but that first time was just ridiculously hard and I haven't had any inclination to go back because of it.

I know a lot of people actually move to more populated servers for things like statics. I dunno how entrenched you are in the community as far as friends and FC and such go, but there's possibilities there. :3

I really enjoy the fight as there is so much going on, but yea it is hellishly difficult on your first few tries. You are never standing in one spot not doing much, which is cool. I have a few friends on Moogle, but I wouldn't be adverse to moving servers if I found a good static group.

Anyway, really enjoying reading these stories always good to know I'm not the only one facepalming at other people's....interesting play styles :P

yesterday I was doing cutters's cry with my BLM for the atma book.
I joined a party in progress, they were near the final boss
the entire party was without protect and stoneskin, so I politely asket the scholar to cast them...
no answer.

we arrive at Chimera, I explain the fight, but (as the 90% of the time I get to do this dungeon) nobody listen and we wipe.
so I ask again for protect and stoneskin...
and the scholar finally answers. "don't have it"
she was casting Adloquium every time, standing still and eating every orb the chimera pointed at her.

I rage quit for the first time ever this weekend. Had to do Brayflox Longstop for my Animus book. In we go, and the first mob, the group just flails in and the tank can't hold aggro. I'm not a panicking healer, so I move to the tank to let her flash, but nothing. She doesn't even try to hold aggro. I keep us alive through what should have been an easy group, but I'm out of MP. "Need to charge MP", I type. They just run full barrel into the next group. This time, I can't maintain and we wipe. Tank didn't even wait for DPS, just ran in and started flailing, so it was rinse and repeat. I knew if it was going to be this bad early on, the bigger trash would be impossible for her to handle. Abandon. Done. I'll do some other stuff and come back later. Next run, tank does great, I actually am NOT encased in a queer bubble and we win.

Later, doing Wanderer's palace. Tank was experiencing some lag, so his macros were wigging out. He was still doing a great job, even though, like most of us, he hadn't run it in forever. Three of the four of us were there for Animus. The bard was kiting things around like crazy, literally running circles around the room. He wiped at almost ever stop because instead of coming into range or staying in my line of sight, he would just keep kiting until dead. I know enough than to give advice in a dungeon, so I just let him do his thing. We get to the end boss, and one DPS discos. I ask if we need another and the tank mentions that he's got some Bard moves on his hot bar. The Bard then says that he won't take advice from a crappy tank and rage quits! Seriously? Disco'd DPS returns and Bard is quickly replaced with another animus hunter. None of us remember the mechanics, so we wipe on the first try. Second try, a quick Google search gives us the clues to clear. Bard doesn't kite. Bard doesn't wipe. Success for all.

Last of three, and it's on to Amdapor Keep. Derp'ing me picked the wrong dungeon in DF, it was supposed to be Lost City. We have another hyper Bard. When asked, politely I might add, by a party member to focus on the targets the tank points out, he says that just because us ladies are on our period doesn't mean... That's all it took. Kicked. Not before he mentioned what we should do to his male member. A new tank joins and we spend 20 minutes BS'ing, and he asks the Summoner to marry him. I suggest that there might be a diamond ring drop. The dungeons goes the rest of the way without a hitch and we actually take most of the time talking about how beautiful the summers in Brazil are. I have to admit, though I didn't have to run that dungeon, it was fun.

This was especially funny to me, cause it's actually a known bug that macros on the hotkey bar are wonky as crap sometimes. My FoF/BB macro turns up from time to time on my SCH just to confuse the hell out of me. xD

Why not start a topic about how tanks can help healers so there's not so much hate for tanks instead?

I think there was a thread about that. I suspect it is buried 20 pages deep now.

was doing Quarn on my SCH to help an FC friend with their duty roulette (their healer left just before the first boss).
First boss goes ok, but when we reach the second boss, the two dps just sit in every single aoe, so I have to spam heals to keep them up. One eventually dies, so I swift res him and watch as he proceeds to run at the boss, get hit by an aoe and die...all before Eos and I can even finish casting heals.
Then ofcourse I get the usual cries of 'OMG, why no heals!' and 'LOL, healer is crap!', at which point the tank (my FC friend), reminds them that dodging avoidable aoe mechanics is a necessary part of the game and they both shut up, lol.
How do people get to Lvl 40+ and not know how to dodge aoe?? haha.

Dodge aoe? Is that a new car or something? I'm trying to play Final Fantasy Online, not shop for cars. Sheesh, these 3 NPCs in these dungeons are pushy.

Solo Healing Levi Ex with Solo Tank, who was OT (until MT fell off the edge), still has Briney veil on, and Levi has 30 percent health left....Passed it, 5 Commendations......actually that crap was fun.

Was on Low level DR as WAR tank (off-class), got cutter's cry, fast forward to final boss, cheapo Chimera (not the one u did for relic)

Party members:

SCH lvl 3Xish, new to dungeon;
SMN early lvl 4Xish, also relatively new to dungeon;
MNK lvl 50

So after trying out the first try, as usual cause the 2 range are new, they didn't know they had to move in when the chimera's eyes turn purple. So after we wiped the first time, I explained to them (both japs but one understood english and translated for the other guy), when the eyes turn blue, run away, when the eyes turn purple run to me. They did fine the second round. Gist of the story aint on these 2.

Lvl 50 MNK, first try, ate every single frost nova (3 in a row), and targeted lightning ball. Okay maybe he's never done it before.... Second try after I explained to the raid what to do...

First ram's voice, stayed next to boss; Second ram's voice, stayed next to boss; Third dragon's voice, ran away from boss =.= ; Died , ressed, 4th ram's voice, ran back to boss after SCH dropped small heal on him =.=" ; Died again, ressed again, orb target on him, ran back to boss =.="||| ; Died and killed SCH along with him.

We passed cause of WAR's awesome lifeleech. SMN died at 5% to ball + dragon voice. No prizes for guessing top DPS the whole dungeon.
