You probably haven't had him use Rake with a crapton of stacks on him, then. It'll all but one-shot most tanks. Our first time through, he chunked me for about 6k damage on an i102 PLD. Tanks really shouldn't pick up these adds. Heal/DPS should be dragging them into a corner and killing them asap. Personally, I grab this boss and take him immediately to the far corner to give them the largest amount of room possible to keep stacks off the boss.

I've never seen him have more than 3 stacks. Adds usually spawn 3-4 at a time and attentive DPS can burn 1-2 down while the tank is picking them up. It's when he spawns a second set that it becomes an issue. Because I'm sure more than 4 stacks of each will do significant damage.

I was doing Sastasha with a friend Who Just starter playing...
We start, everyone aside from me seems fairy new, looking at gears, so, knowing the dungeon, I move a little bit faster, and everyone else follows me...
But then the tank starts moving using SPRINT.
And procede to stand still IN FRONT of the mobs doing shield lob, and then nothing.
The other DPS, a lancer, decides that today he is going to play as a tank, and starts attacking at random.
Basically, I had to use medica for the majority of the duty.

Just attempted Garuda EX for the first time. I had read plenty online about the fight so I knew all the phases, but that is never going to make me experienced at actually playing the fight, so I gave it a go.
I told everyone I was new, to which no one said anything...good start. The first half of the fight goes ok, no deaths and the tanks seem to know what to do. Spiney plume comes along and again that goes ok, but then I mess up and don't quite make it into the protective bubble on time and I die.
The main tank and other healer go mental and start swearing at me, saying other unpleasant things and refuse to res me, so they wipe. Now, I understand that 'keyboard warrior syndrome' is quite common in MMOs, so I suck it up, apologise and start cycling stoneskin ready to go again, at which point I get sworn at more, then kicked.

People suck....

Anyway I'm a main war who thought I would check how our fellow healers see the world, (first time on healing section in forums) and I'm pretty shocked at all the hate here against tanks.
So,
I'm starting a 'post ur worst moments with healers' on our tank page

If you get hate from an enemy and the tank isn't able to provoke it from you right away for some reason, the right thing to do is to run to the tank to pull the extra enemy there, not push it away when the tank will have even harder time trying to get it back.

I should have been more clear xD. 9/10 times when i knock said enemy back, it's into the tanks position

This is horrible to read. Honestly, in cases like this you should report them to SE for abusing the vote kick system and for harassment. There's no cause to treat anyone that way, new or not.

I'm assuming that you queued for the trial in Duty Finder; how people expect to go into an EX primal in DF and beat it on the first shot is so far beyond me that I can't even begin to understand it. :s

Why not start a topic about how tanks can help healers so there's not so much hate for tanks instead?

This is horrible to read. Honestly, in cases like this you should report them to SE for abusing the vote kick system and for harassment. There's no cause to treat anyone that way, new or not.

I'm assuming that you queued for the trial in Duty Finder; how people expect to go into an EX primal in DF and beat it on the first shot is so far beyond me that I can't even begin to understand it. :s

Yea, it was the DF. The PF is fairly dead on Moogle unless you want Hunts or '100% EXP, kick if fail' EX runs, lol, and I don't have a static group yet.
I was really tempted to do some reporting, but I thought I would let it slide this time and I just went to bed instead :P

Tried it again this morning and got a much nicer group. We still failed, but I feel like I'm getting better with every try, so all is not lost for my healing career, haha.

It took me many many tries to pass Garuda EX, and even that was like pulling teeth. There's just so friggin much that can go wrong in that fight (most of which you as healer can't really affect outside of keeping everyone alive) that it's not even funny. I'm sure now that I've passed it, doing it again would be much easier but that first time was just ridiculously hard and I haven't had any inclination to go back because of it.

I know a lot of people actually move to more populated servers for things like statics. I dunno how entrenched you are in the community as far as friends and FC and such go, but there's possibilities there. :3
