Wedding service in FFXIV

It's not that they're easily offended, it's that most of them (in my experience) don't like when you use their sexual preference as a synonym for something undesirable.

seeing as how "gay," "homo," "fag," "faggot," and "queer" have a different meaning that was around LONG before the LGBT community made it into something different...I don't see where the offense is.

Gay=happy
Homo=same
Fag=cigarette
faggot=bundle of sticks
queer=strange

I don't see the problem, in general.

As I said before, since it is too risky for SE, the best option would be to not have it at all, OR called it something other than "wedding" or "marriage." (both of which were intended as "Holy" matrimony). This is close to the same thing as saying that "God" (meaning the Christian god) should be in the game instead of the twelve. How many people would that offend?

I don't think gay people call themselves fags ... at least none I've ever known ...

And the same goes for queer too. In England it means strange or ill.

I simply thinking leaving it out all together is the answer, its such a dumb thing to get married in game anyway, whats the big deal just leaving it out?

but...lame would offend the crippled...seeing as how "lame" originally meant disabled to the extent that movement, especially walking, is impaired.......so what...we go from insulted the LGBT community to insulting crippled kids in wheel chairs? That's even worse!
