You would be wrong seeing as how I live in Birmingham and there are protests, parades, meetings, etc here all of the time...especially on campus, which is fine, but my statement still stands
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
Those people aren't offended. They just want attention.
Either that or Michigan winters keep the LGBT community in Ann Arbor relatively docile. ^_^
I have 2 gay friends, neither of them act offended by everything . . . Some people are just more easily offended than others, gay or not. like how all these straight people are offended by the idea of homosexuality. . . JUST THE IDEA of it. Quite ridiculous.the fact is that it won't be just a 1 time thing. Once someone gets married, in the game, they usually flaunt it like they would in real life. My analogy pertains to this more than yours. Yours involves the wedding, mine involves the after effect. If a wedding system is implemented at all, it will split the people in half. If they make it same sex, a lot of straight people are going to be disgusted, but if they make it only for straight couples, the homosexuals will be offended...which is nothing new. Not to knock anyone or anything...but I have yet to see 1 homosexual guy that wasn't a complete pud and is offended by everything -.-
And even without marriage, there are plenty of homosexual wordings that go on in game, both NPC and Player.

I have 7, 3 of which I hang out with on a daily basis. 2 are female, 1 is a male. When I'm around the male, I really have to watch what I say or else he gets really really mad, started screaming, crying, and hitting me with random objects...For example: I was playing 14...we wiped to the buffalo (had a few first timers..didn't know about his hate reset) and I was on vent..so I just said "gaaaaaaaaaaaaay" Omg at the crap storm that followed. I've had similar cases with the other 2 guys of the same sexuality. Maybe it is just the community here in Alabama...idk, but most seem really easy to offend....

I can assure you that if you've been ostracized and ridiculed your whole life, and maybe even beaten a few times and in general not being accepted into a lot of things, you might have a "fuck you" attitude as well. Not trying to make excuses for anyone, and this may not be the case for more resilient individuals who may have better support structures than others, but try to put yourself into their shoes hypothetically for a bit.the fact is that it won't be just a 1 time thing. And in a game that is supposed to be about uniting with others, a "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy for the more hardheaded, in addition to not adding marriage in the first place to avoid the inevitable backlash from all sides would probably be the best course of action unfortunately.
I believe you're confusing being offended because of your comments with being a whiny emo college kid. His sexuality has nothing to do with it.I have 7, 3 of which I hang out with on a daily basis. 2 are female, 1 is a male. Also, lolalabama
yes, most definitely lolalabama...but hey, it has a good medical school (which is why I'm here). It may just be that he is a crybaby...but like I've said, the same happened with the other 2...oh and the cashier at CVS....
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
Odd, because I'm having a hard time finding a more offensive insult than calling someone a CVS cashier.
Ugh I can't believe this conversation is still going on. People just need to accept that we live in a new age and no matter what there are going to be people who don't follow what is "socially correct." And they shouldn't be whipped for it either, especially if they're American. The point of the US is freedom to live the way we wish to live. And if SE is going to put out a game that will be played worldwide, then they need content that doesn't discriminate against people based on race, sexuality, and other stuff like that.
Remember that episode of Pee-Wee's playhouse, where he married a fruit salad?Ugh I can't believe this conversation is still going on. And that was back in the 80's, man! This ain't no "new age"!
