    T6 Briarless Mechanic

I've just returned to the game after three months, and thought I'd give new coils a go. Some of my old friends said they could get me into a static with their alts, and so I happily agreed. Last night we were working on T6 for about an hour, and it seemed like a fun fight. I enjoyed healing it - however, and this is what I need advice on: our static does the MM Briarless method, wherein if you're marked, you run to the main tank and then run through Raffy just as he turns around. This may seem quite laughable, but I'm having problems with this very mechanic. What I'm trying to ask is: what is the exact and literal moment I'm supposed to run through the boss? Whenever I see my yellow sunshine marker, I run to the main tank, and then somewhat 'guess' when he's about to turn around and thus run through. Is it at the exact moment the yellow sunshine marker disappears that I'm supposed to run to the other side? Any advice would be pretty damn good

What you're doing is more commonly known as the "LoS" - Line of Sight - method. As soon as you see the yellow mark appear over your head, you run to the tank. Then, as soon as the yellow fades out, you need to run back through the boss.

Also, prior to that, chains will come out before the yellow mark, so even if you get chained, you need to wait until someone gets the yellow mark, because if you start running to break the chains and then the yellow mark appears on you, you'll be too out of position to get back in time.

That's an interesting strategy, we are working on t6 atm.
Can I ask though because I'm having some trouble imagining this, u run to MT, then run through rafy hence avoiding his devour just as he turns around. But what happens to the poor MT??
Does he get eaten? Or does he run with u too? Or does rafy not devour anything when she finds out the target has disappeared?
Plus what is the advantage of this strategy compared to the classic one?

The marked person runs through, Raff turns to where the mark was, so all the raid ends up stood behind it when it devours. If done correctly no dps is lost, aoe heals are easier and no one has got stuck and died in an overgrowing briar Its a very effective strategy.

Kinda random but I found as you do this method I walk a tight circle around the right or left side of ralf then By the time I get to mt the yellow is gone an I just keep on making the circle hitting sprint to make sure to dodge I do this because it always seemed when I went thru the boss there was a small patch under him that slowed me just enough to get my bum eaten >.<

Tank has to run back as well, then after Devour has gone off and it's casting Spit, tank returns to the front. The main advantage of LoS is only two people have to move at any point, the marked person and the tank. The rest of the group can just sit on the rear and wail on the boss (BLMs love you for this). It also makes it easier on your healers because no one is taking any damage from the briars.

You should not need sprint. Everyone should be stacked on the rear so you should already be close and have plenty of time to make it to the tank, just start moving as soon as you see the yellow mark.

I have done both methods and when using LoS we actually had anyone who wasn't marked with pollen, head to the opposite side of the boss while moving out to break chains and had the person with pollen move to the opposite side once the mark fades. This allows the tank to move to the opposite side during spit and the person with pollen has time before the mark fades to step back or move around a bit to help break chains which seemed to work better than having the entire chain breaking fall to the everyone else. If this doesn't make much sense you can see it in action here on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa-b9dOzU8w I explain whats going on with the pollen and chains at about 5 mins in.

Oh, the irony. Pharazon, I watch your videos ALL the time. You're awesome! And yes, I've seen this method being used via PF sometimes ... this is also known as "Party moves" mechanic, correct? I actually find this mechanic EASIER than running to the tank. I just find my concentration is better at anticipating the fading marker. I'm new to T6, but whenever I get marked I panic and do silly things... just standing there whilst everyone else moves to the other side seems to calm me a little haha.

I like the party moving better because while you are waiting on the marker to fade you have time to help break chains by focusing your movement to be directly opposite of those moving rather than moving more or less directly to the tank which may or may not really help in breaking chains. Both methods work and everyone's gonna have different opinions on which they prefer I just wanted to put that variation out there for you as well. And thanks for watching. Had some RL stuff come up and haven't been able to get much game time in over the last little bit, but I'm back doing the 2.3 content and making vids as fast as I can.
