Cross-class leveling is BORING and a BUZZ-KILL

I just hate it when it's a class I have little to no interest in (i.e. Conjurer). I was barely able to stand leveling one to 15 for Paladin unlock and the thought of having to level it to 34 for Stoneskin makes my stomach turn or makes me wanna move on to a Warrior LOL.

Yeah, agreed. I will wait till my Leve allowance goes back up before I level it for Stoneskin, as I used them all leveling my PLD to 50. Not going to be fun but I'll get there lol

I think if there were more interesting cross-class abilities, the whole thing would be a lot more interesting. Most abilities are in-the-moments buffs and don't add much in the way of flavor or interest.

Agreed. They really need to open it up more. Some abilities are like, "Why would I use *that* skill when I have one just like it already but I can combo my own class'?"

I mean I won't say it's not annoying, It bothered me that while I was leveling Marauder for Mercy Stroke I had to go and level Gladiator for Flash. Though completely ignoring levequests and hunting log is your real issue. You can level pretty quickly.

Besides Monk Skills for Ninja (ex: Feather Foot), I hope they will choose DRG as the other one to fit in.. (Invigorate FTW)

Can't wait to see the Lvl Cap raise and if the new unlocked skills will be cross-classed: it's about time we get an upgrade in that department.

I'd say Invigorate is the most essential for bard. B4B is a nice optional extra but so far have been without it(getting lnc to 22 was annoying enough). I do use dex pots so that compnesates on some burn phases.

Willing to bet you haven't cleared Turn 8.

B4B as non LNC/DRG is very inconsequential and I have to scoff at everyone that ever calls it a necessity. It is a 10% boost that you can have up at most 1/4 of the time, meaning 2.5% increase overall at best, and that's ruling out the numerous instances where it's actually a good idea to NOT have B4B up.

Subbed things that I would actually call a lot closer to being essential:

Invigorate for MNKs and BRDs
Swiftcast for all DoMs (good luck getting off a mid-battle Raise in most encounters without it)
Provoke for WARs
Flash for WARs (secondary AoE hate pull when either TP is gone or you're pacified from Berserk)
Quelling Strikes for BLMs and SMNs

Missing these things will noticeably hamper your performance on these jobs. I have never missed B4B as anything other than my DRG.
