    1.0's wasn't as amazing as everyone is trying to remember it being. I never sat down on the ground in a robe because the physics would make the damn thing would flip around upside down and flash everyone. Hair didn't mold or adapt to anything, we just had hair that barely went below the ears so it was never an issue.

    I think what it comes down to is a balance of quantity and quality.

    With the glamour system and aesthetician we can easily change our accessories and hairstyles to better fit major pieces of gear. What we can't change is our hips, legs, heads, shoulders, feet etc...

    Lots of cool looking gear is great, but the same mistakes with body clipping just means we have a lot of awesome looking gear with caveats like 'look great except...'

    Please take the time to figure out how to improve clipping issues on character models in the basics of running, walking, jumping, standing. Then apply what you learned to improve the quality of gear going forward. It's so much we want clipping issues eliminated everywhere, but to minimize them on the ones we most frequently do just to get around.

    We all like to look nice, but we also don't want to stand around all day like a statue just to look nice.

    At the time of 1.0 a lot of people wanted more more more, but back then we didn't have much much much. Now I think we're starting to want time spent improving all the great things we have to be even more awesome!

    Is this something we can agree on?

    People have been saying that about games since FFXI or older. It's been years and years and 3d modeling and rendering technology has gotten way beefier since then.

    From what the community reps have say, it sounds like it isn't so much impossible and more that the devs are focusing on pumping out lots of gear instead of doing quality control.

    The gear has to be re-sized and edited for all the races anyways. Taking the time to figure out what tweaks need to be made so dresses/skirts/robes/coats look just as good when walking or running as they do on a standing character... once they know how to do it with one long piece of gear, they can apply their knowledge to other pieces of gear down the road.

    Here is what I wonder. While the team is prioritizing "a large variety of designs", can you explain to us why we get cross-job and cross-content designs? This contradicts the "large variety" part.

    Just to make sure: why does i90 healer PvP look the exact same as crafted i90 healer PvE (cross-content)?. Why do tanks/casters/healers share their soldiery design (cross job)? Even worse: why do we have jobs, completely no similarities role wise, have the exact same gear design (MNK & BRD for example)? That last one just wows me..

    The list goes on and on. My point: there is no "large variety". It has been more of the same for a very long time.

    I sure hope we will get to see this variety.

    I'd honestly rather SE have free reign to design tons of cool stuff than to sweat the small stuff. The clipping does kinda suck, but it is pretty minor most of the time unless you are looking really close.

    Considering most of this gear that is of "large variety" is just reskinned or recolored versions of old gear at this point I question the validity of the statement

    healer i90 crafted set = Acolyte set
    Monk i90 crafted set = Infantry set
    Bard i90 crafted set = Foestriker set
    Caster i90 crafted set = Battle mage set
    Bard Soldiery = monk soldiery
    i90 myth = AF recolors

    I didnt realize it took so much work to click a paint bucket icon then click the armor
