Wow - that's harsh! Considering let's say medium size plot with two large gardening patches you can produce max 16 Thav Onions at a time (how long does it take to grow - similar to Krakka or longer?) so considering three most likely scenarios:
1. It's needed to "break" the barier at end of each level (10 to 19) to advance to next one - e.g. up to 10 times per each chocobo. That's how I hope / think it would (should) work based on the current description in the patch notes. This wouldn't be so bad. After each brake you'll continue to feed your choco with any other food of your (or his / her) selection.
2. It's needed only once to "break" the lvl 10 barier - e.g. once per each chocobo. That would be great but I seriously doubt that's the case.
3. It's needed for every feeding / training past lvl 10 - I really REALLY hope that that's not the case here! This would mean that we need at least thousand (10 x 100 per each level) onions for each chocobo - and that's only if the current ratio of leveling up by 1% of total XP needed for each level (with "sparkly" stables) will not be changed / decreased ...
In Scenario 3. with producing nothing else but onions (and we still have no guaranteed loop!) with let's say two full harverst per week resulting in 32 onions it would take FC over 32 weeks (almost 8 months) to level ONE chocobo from 10 to 20! ... @_@ (or more if ratio will be less than 1% per training)
