if you don't intend to do the high end contents like coil then it's not a deal breaker but you are still gimping yourself without those cross class skills, especially "Blood for Blood".
Leveling in most RPGs has a story-driven path to help take your mind off of it, though. Leveling a second job is just... Pointless grinding. There's no overarcing thing to achieve beyond "getting higher level."
Do low lvl roulette once a day and you'll be done with it before you know it![]()

I'd say levelling lancer is a nice change of pace and refreshing compared to the amount of crap you are going to get thrown at you in endgame so enjoy the relaxing time of killing ladybirds whilst you still have the opportunity.
No, that's not what I am saying at all. I just said that after getting a "taste" of the end game, EPIC stuff, it sorta sucks to have to go back to the basics of killing ladybugs, etc. It was such a build-up getting to 50 and now it is a bit of a letdown having to level another class up. The end game stuff looks sick!
haha. I will play some Level 50 dungeons, etc and then do some on the Lancer. It won't be bad I guess if I split it up a bit.

Sure its not fun to grind a low level class but it is absolutely necessary to get almost all the cross class skills for Bard on endgame. Or you will most likely be excluded from parties.

Leveling another job is so easy, not to mention you might even come to discover you enjoy that job. I really don't see what the complaint is. Leveling in this game is anything but hard and difficult.
