if too many people try to use it, it means something is wrong from the start, the mechanic is good if small group of people only do it.
rank b is for 4 people, rank a for 8 people.... they are done by group of 20-40 player, sorry but it loose all it interest. it don't give teeth to the game, don't bring anything interesting too exept more trash-talking and drama. and why this? because some people want to compete via who gonna get a target first, this sort of bragging right that have no other value that flattering ego!
NM was good out of the game, FATE was made because they didn't want to deal with the trouble of the NM...
however, they have decide that FATE was not good, because people was saying it's not open world content. it's stupid!
What do you think of the idea(s) presented here? http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Hunts-for-Good

sadly it will solve nothing, it's nothing more than a band aid for a broken system not adapted to the game.
the hunt into this form is a major failure.
when you see monster that are normally aimed for a group of 4 killed by pack of 20-40 player, it means the feature is a failure... why do this happend? because the game don't have enough prey for the number of player.
why did they do this? because player did scream against FATE, people seems to believe they hate too leves systeme, when use this two system will have avoid all this trouble.
why people don't like them? because they see it like instanced fight... seriously if open world content look like Zergfest we don't need it! no risk involved and huge reward.... the worst is yoshida and him team think it can work! because japanese have less drama... but FF14:ARR is not only a game for japanese, but for everybody in the world!

You don't need to pull it to get credit. Learn how the credit system works before you post about it on the forums. Why is this a thing? Our group finds an NM, no one is around at all, call 3 people from FC.
What's that over the horizon? It's the horde.
How did they know it was here? I was the only one around when it spawned.
I pull the mob so I can get credit. Tank of the horde provokes it and resets it by running away. It comes back, the horde kills it, I get no credit.
Proceed to get aggro from the horde, calling us scum for pulling before the horde could get its prize. They say Mr Happy needs to be here for it. Are you kidding me?
Defend ourselves from the words of the horde, get reported the next day and get a warning.
WHAT?
You either didn't read his post or need to learn more about hunts yourself.
The point he was trying to make is that after the NM was reset, it was zerged so fast that he didn't get credit for participation. Had they not reset it, he would have surely gotten credit because he was the first to find it, pull it, and had a sufficient amount of participation built up.

Mister Happy actually did a video recently about the hunts where he addressed the "We need to hold the mark for mister happy" is lying:

So people claiming to hold a mob for him are not representing him.
I'm gonna play Devil's Advocate and just point out he can say whatever he wants on his videos, doesn't mean he's speaking the truth xDMister Happy actually did a video recently about the hunts where he addressed the "We need to hold the mark for mister happy" is lying:

There's no need to wait. If you have the people to kill it, then go for it. If they blacklisted you, then they're just doing you a favor in the future. No need to deal with immature players in your FFXIV career. Simple.

My years of FFXI have me doubled over in laughter at this whole hunt situation. If you've ever gone for your Black Belt or helped someone who has, you will just /facepalm at all the QQing and move on.
It makes me wonder where all these people are coming from? Is this really what the MMO scene has turned into? Sad... really.
