As I said in the Lore forum, I'm going to be exceptionally disappointed if this just ends up being a "Herp. Voidsent made her do it. Kill the mastermind!" sort of thing.
If she's actively 'in control' (to the extent a crazy-person can be) and managed to grow as a result of either desperation or a natural aptitude for necromancy, that is far more compelling than a story where she's really just a tool to try and push more voidsent overlord bollocks.

I wanted Edda to have a traditional happy ending at first as well, but now I'd prefer something more... non-traditional.
If she can overcome her grief, she can become happy with her new lot in life. Creepy, twisted, and macabre, but... happy.
And then she can be our Necromancer job trainer. :-)
