Warriors of Light question. Explanation needed.

-edit- I realise from reading this again, technically all the players who were 1.0 are the original warriors of light, but i meant more in the sense of meeting those guys from the cutscene xD

Actually the party in the video is just a representation of us players. So they will never be actual NPCs which is why they have no names.

So yea Original Warriors of Light are just us 1.0 players, but like was explained above at this point we all are Warriors of Light ^_^b

Ahh right. It makes a somewhat convoluted sense now. Man, it's a shame to start a game with half a story (Didn't even hear about 1.0 till I started using the forums, i thought this was a standalone after an earlier failed game lmao). Would be pretty cool if for us 2.0 Warriors of Light, we got some sort of explanation of things in-game. That scene with the adventurer floatin' in front of Cid giving him goggles and stuff... confusiiiiing, but probably understood by people who were around for 1.0 .

Or better yet, give me an offline version of the story for 1.0 i can play through, or even some sorta dvd of the important stories xD I'd buy that!

Well, in a general way, 1.0's story went: (Gridania) Show up, beat up some dogs, tree attempts to murder you, you find out that because you were in the wrong place at the right time the trees blame you for murdering the tree trying to murder you, so you go to a party. After the party some things happen and this leads to you talking to a teenage girl in furry pants and getting a sassy friend, discovering the invasion of the Garlic nation and some stuff involving angry old religious leaders. Then you blow up the moon and Bahamut gatecrashes so Lou sends everyone into the vortex.

I think there's a few videos on YouTube of all of that, too.

If you're interested in getting a detailed version of what we played in 1.0, there's a video that came with the collectors edition of the game. Shows from beginning to end of pretty much what we went through. I bet you could find it if you are really curious ^_^b

Except that video didn't really show all of 1.0's backstory - it kind of skipped over the original starting nation quests and the whole Path of the Twelve storyline to just jump quickly into the Dalamud/7th Umbral Era storyline - possibly because the original starting nation story/Path storyline was being specifically rewritten for ARR and hence potentially could be spoiled if it was shown in that video, despite the major changes/retcons to them in ARR, where as the 7th Umbral Era story was always going to be a 'once off' - never to be repeated.

If you're interested in what the original starting nation storylines and the Path of the Twelve storyline was like, there are plenty of videos of those quests on Youtube and other places to view.

There was a fan theory many months ago that the warrior(s) of light from 1.0 soul/whatever came to possess our adventurer. Of course it's better explained by those people.

I also have one question on this topic for RP purposes

Let's assume that :
5 years back, before carteneau battle, a son of a family said to his family that he will go to the battle;
he is going to the battle and he becomes a warrior of light;
What happens to his family ? based on the story, people are not able to see the face of warriors of light and people forgot if they were warriors of light and came back after 5 years.
=> did his family forgot him ? thought he is dead in a way ? what happens if they see him again ?

Does anyone has any idea ?

I can see several scenarios with this.

• The child would not only forgotten by his parent's. but by every one outside of his best friends. It would be as if he didn't exist. He might get replaced by a similar child in their memories
• They would still remember him, but would have very fuzzy memories about cartenau
• The timeline gets changed somehow so that those that know the guy would somehow be dead or otherwise incapacitated (And this would be done by the Asceans because so far I can't see Hydealyn being that dickish, and also because villains usually kick off doomed hometown plots)
• If they see him again they would feel compelled to avoid the guy...and think he was crazy.
