Stopping support for the system that the majority of the players in the game use sounds like a great idea for something they are trying to make last 10+ years.
Yes, because cheating only happens in PC's amirite?
Hackers can create bots that not only headshot you without even seeing you, through walls, teleport around the map, and be invincible in games like Battlefield and CoD but farming nodes and mobs while spamming gold sites ... thatll really get'em![]()
None that I know of ... then again, thats like saying games should drop PC and move to Macs because there are less (or no) viruses on it.
Thats only because a majority of people use PC's for everything. Developing hacks and/or viruses for Mac's isnt worth the trouble. Same goes here, more people play on PC than console. Look at the games I mentioned before, millions play FPS like CoD and Battlefield on consoles.
So, uh, I stopped reading when you said they're doing nothing about it because you're not in the company, you have no idea what's happening behind closed doors.SE just needs to look around at what other companies have done. It baffles me that they insist on implementing things other, much MUCH more successful, games already tried and decided didn't work because of the very things you mentioned. But SE is the kind of company that has to try everything themselves until it blows up in their face like 1.0 did.
Want big NMs in the world? Do something more like Timeless Isle or even do what was done in XI with the tiered NM popping system. That was actually kind of fun. This? It's insane that they are just watching this crap happen and doing nothing about it - I haven't even seen a post where they address the community on it. I tried to do hunts twice and gave up - it's not worth the stress and this community has successfully become WORSE than ANYTHING EVER WAS in WoW. If I ever see someone talk about the WoW community again, I'm just going to point them to XIV hunts, because this group of people is the most toxic and mean to other players for no good reason I have ever seen, EVER.
You're not supposed to tell them...it's supposed to be a surprise...
