Drop support for the PC version. It's holding the game back.

Rockstar knew the best course of action was to hold off GTA V from PC and now with next generation versions and PC coming they get to double dip. As long as you have PC available you will always have cheats and that's just something you cannot fix.

Since the bulk of the recent content has all but been invalidated by PC players using cheating programs, it has become painfully clear that the lack of limitations on the PC client actually poses a risk of destroying future content updates as well. The console versions, which by their nature don't allow for such programs to be used and afford SE a greater level of control and security, should be the only platforms receiving future content updates after 2.3. PC players could maybe get a free account upgrade to the console versions, and then SE can drop PC support entirely after 3.0.

Its the superior solution.

Actually Rockstar holding off the PC version was more about taking advantage of the sheer power that PCs are capable of and create a much more stunning world with increased features that consoles lack the memory to handle.

That or to beta test it with the consoles to see what hacks can be put into place by players, so that by PC release they can have a good handle on things to try, and I say try to prevent or severely hamper PC hacks/mods. As PC games are much more easily hacked and/or manipulated than console games. But I think we all know what is going to happen.

Part of me wishes that PSN and PC weren't connected so that the precious I-spent-this-much-on-my-pc elitist could all enjoy their graphically beautiful but exploited and cheater riddled Eorzea while console gamers played in a controlled environment where they don't have to deal with such people.

Sorry I'm not gonna downgrade to a console. I'm sure a lot of us enjoy using our PC to multi task. I don't agree with your idea which is to punish everyone for what others are doing. I like being able to use ts, vent, mumble while I raid while at the same time listen to my iTunes library while having an chrome browser on to watch hulu or be on Facebook to talk to friends.

I'm sure if SE does this, they will loose a lot of subscriptions because we are not gonna buy a ps3 or ps4 just to play ffxiv.

Dropping a platform is NEVER a "superior solution" and against Yoshi-P's idea which is cross platform gaming between Xbox PS and PC.
