I love it. Everyone begs and begs for "no more caps! no more lockouts!" elsewhere in the game.

The first time the playerbase finally gets a taste of what they ask for, a lightbulb finally goes on somewhere. "Cap seals! Lockout NMs after X amount of kills! Put them in instances!"

All of these are directly against the open world, no-lockout vision that everyone wanted. Further proof that game development should be left to game developers and not players.

No one who had played any other MMO before thought a lack of a lockout was a good idea.

Personally, I think the best thing to do would be bump sands down to 500 like oils, put a 500 weekly cap on them, and make it so the combined sum of 7 dailies + weekly is 250 seals. That was, super casual folk can get a sand/oil every two weeks without fighting the mob, and the mob can still chew through one a week by doing extra hunts.

I did and I still do.

The problem isn't the lack of a lockout, it's the inability to compete with the horde.
Giving full credit to everyone who participates, or at least to the player or party who actually finds the mark would go a long way toward alleviating the issues here.

Or... You know... Turning it into an actual hunt where rather than just stumbling on the enemy in the open, you have to follow clues and track it before it pops. Admittedly, with the current crowds, even that wouldn't slow things down much, but eh...

I just want my bloody succubus. :-(

ruined mirage : some players ask for no lock out and somes Open world content but not everyone, for me the instance still the more interesting stuff in this game.
Open world content ?, if we have to grind in the open world, it mean a monster with 100 people to blast him to get reward, (it's not interesting and it's no brain play).
The lock out is set to have a progression, players can't get all the stuff in no time to get a balance for all the players.
Yoshida said that i think ?
If them listen too much some players, we got unbalanced and broken stuff like monster hunt :/.
it is what every players want ?, no this is just what a minority of players want.
    Not all the players...

You're right about this, I apologize for generalizing. But the forums are a main source of feedback for influencing the game (believe it or not) and I see more threads pop up about "Remove coil lockout!" "Why do you limit our progression?" "Let us get rewards at our own pace!"

Tell me how many of those types of threads you've seen, compared to the ones that say "Thank you SE for the lockouts!" or even "I hate lockouts, but I understand why you did it"

Maybe later I'll compile a list of the "get rid of lockout, tome caps, weekly resets" threads here. On the other hand, since a majority of players are actually playing the game instead of posting on the forums, they may in fact be fine with the lockout system. Like I said, I go by what I read here, so sorry about coming to preconceived conclusions. I didn't mean literally EVERYONE, as I'm all for caps and lockouts and understand why they're necessary.

The caps and lockout are goods when they're clever: the 1 drop/week of CT is good, the lockout on Coils access is not (don't allow you to help/train friends...)... it's just a question of balance.

Here, we've lot of content which have a lockouts and only one which is unlimited and give all the rewards of the others events... this is clearly unbalanced...

yet the SE devs still made it.

not everyone wanted this. plenty of people were very doubtful how this would work. a lot of us wanted more map-type encounters that didn't involve maps but involved some kind of riddle/spawn condition.

    nobody asked for mini-Odin/Behemoth FATEs.

these hunts currently have zero mechanics, there's nothing fun about doing them. tank and spank is already bad, this is nothing but spank.
