It is still faster to raid, and not everyone does it for the loot. Some like the challenge, so no it isn't going to die.

Difficult end game raids are basically Jenga's waiting to happen. I'd rather have raids like Crystal Tower which more players can enjoy and their gimmicks can still lead to wipes.
Though wipe wipe wipe there goes have the population to do something else is what difficulty entices.
I really hope you don't mean faster to obtain sands via raiding because you couldn't be more wrong. And the challenge of it, while fun, only last until you finally down it and then it becomes a loot pinata.
T5 was beaten with people having no echo at all and with an ilvl of around 90. People nowadays with 20% echo and i100 still can't do it so they have to nerf the mechanics themselves so people can literally press the iWin button. I'm sorry but people incapacity of overcoming slight difficulty should not prevent people who enjoy a challenge from getting more than 1 really challenging piece of content 8-10 months because other people's feelings might get hurt.Difficult end game raids are basically Jenga's waiting to happen. Guess it wasn't obvious enough. Bolded part = Savage Coil.
Now do you have any actual argument ?
i like this reply the best.
ilvl=/=skill
people can be decked out in i110 all they want... if the player, and possibly the party, cant dodge twisters, landslides, fall off levis boat, etc.... then the 20-40% echo on top of being overgeared will do nothing for you. so let people have the gear.
on top of that, being a whm main in 2nd coil, i now have a way to get oils and sands for my gear as im lower on the priority list.
anyways, like some said, they still have to get soldery to get the items needed.
but i don't think this trivializes 2nd coil as bad as people think. people will still want the i115 weps. people will still want the i110 High Allagan that is BiS for them. Some want to beat t9 and some will want to do savage.
To answer the question in title. I am.
I raid because I think working towards a challenging goal with my friends is fun. I play this game to have fun.
Your fun might not be my fun, but if you are not having fun you should go find something that is fun.
Coil still offers better weapons and better looking gear, but the is just a bonus for hanging out with friends.
I'm kinda glad ilvl110 gear has been made more available. I used to raid a lot, then my raid group just slowly fell apart, and I've taken a long and extended break from raiding. I've pretty much gone solo. But I've managed to keep up gear progression wise regardless. It's good that we have two paths. We have the raiding path for those who enjoy it, and for lack of a better word, the "grinding" path for those who don't.
I enjoy raiding, as in, I enjoy the fights and playing with others, but I don't enjoy the hassle of finding a static who I click with, nor having to put aside hours of my evening to progress a raid and end up with no reward. Instead, I can set aside my own hours to grind something to get the items required to upgrade my gear. This is much better for me. Those who enjoy the difficulty, and have statics, and the time to put aside can still raid and progress that way.
People complained there wasn't more ways to progress gear wise. Now they're complaining that there is another way to progress. As I've said before, there is no pleasing this community.
thing is best does not mean its needed ilvl 100 is more then enough ilvl110+ since there nothing else to do after you get your ilvl110 for another 3-6 months. even SE said should be able to do everything with ilvl90. funniest thing is people still fail decked out.Gear doesn't really account for skill sadly, (sometimes a HA weapon counts for something, although not always)
Seen a fair number of great players who've gotten virtually nothing from Turns 4-9.
I'm semi-decent on T9 and I've had two HA drops from coil I can actually use for two different classes.
There's a ton of reasons;
• Best In Slot Gear
• Vanity
• Static Groups (Pretty sure most people won't have the items they want for their main/alt covered yet)
Could list more if you want~
vanity is there.
