Yoshi-P, GMs, and mixed signals. Should the ToS be updated?

Even better i reported this abuse to SE they generally mailed me back saying its my fault for not knowing how they were planing to take on the dungeon that its my fault that the 2 people in question abused the vote system to remove me and the healer!

We understand the impact that is caused after being removed from a duty finder group. However, please be aware that the Game Masters will be unable to take action if a group member has been removed due to a player dispute, or if the game style differs (I.e. skipping in-game cutscenes, disagreement on using specific boss encounter tactics, equipment deemed not high enough, etc.),

To prevent such incidents from occurring we advise to speak with the group when joining a new group to discuss any specifics that need to be addressed

meaning my fault i did talk to the tank as he rushed of without waiting for a discussion on how we will fight a boss

Again like i said i asked why he did do it the way i have seen most people go and just got the replay if you cant dodge learn the fight! This is all the discussion i got of the tank befor being kicked

Since it was Aurum Vale I assume that the tank, and probably the two dps, just wanted to do first room clearing for fast exp, and would have made sure to kick you anyway before first boss.

Again, the issue is not my case in particular, and no, the tank wanted the full run. As I said, I returned after being kicked, and took the same party to the win, though with an uncomfortable general cold atmosphere in the group.

The issue that I want to bring in this thread is that we're getting mixed signals from what Yoshi-P say and what the Terms of Service say. I reported a party that "accused" me of something that was not real (being Offline), and it is not against the Terms of Service. So what was Yoshida's motive to suggest to report parties who kick players for reasons that are not those provided by the Kick options? That is all I'd like to know.

We've been told that being kicked for an illegitimate reason is a reportable offense and will be investigated... so this situation is actually quite odd.

I once got kicked from a Brayflox HM way back when for refusing to speedrun the content as a tank, so I reported the group due to that not being Harassment, Offline, or AFK. I got a reply from a GM asking for more information mere hours later and s/he seemed to be in support of my claim being legitimate. I don't know if any action was taken against the kickers, but I don't know if the reporter ever gets told whether or not some kind of action was taken.

If they change the ToS they should amend that archaic youtube policy as well while they're at it, if that's still in effect anyway.

It does sort of defeat the notion of having to state a reason to kick someone when you can just pull any answer out of the hat and not care.

The strange thing is in the support desk they have "Reporting vote kick abuse" in the FAQ and there they say that it is a punishable act if you abuse it. I think they don't really know how to decide what they want.

Guess you should try to make another report and there you ask why it is writen in the FAQ that it is punishable when they don't want to do anything.

I liked in other games when they had kicking options with a chat box, where you could type your customized reason and it would get registered on the logs.
