There appears to be some confusion regarding Third Party Software. I am replying to this thread to make it clear to anyone currently using, or interested in the use of Third Party Software.

It has been long established that any Third Party Software used in Final Fantasy XIV [regardless of platform, situation, or intent] is a violation, and against the Agreed Terms of Agreement.
Evidence found of using such hardware can result in warnings, bans, and even termination.

Imagine those people doing the same thing legitimately! It's still a pretty big advantage. I agree that people shouldn't be using this app but you're just living in a fantasy land. It's undetectable and that's that. Maybe the creator will remove the functionality but I imagine players can simply readd it. The FROTH you people are working yourself up into over this application is what's really pathetic.

A lot of people aren't making excuses, a lot of people simply are overstating the functionalities of this application, and that's it. So people go to correct them and we get crazy posts like yours. Though if those people didn't bother to correct you, you'd still have people going on about how people are scanning zone wide and getting updates to their cellphones or something.

I love how I make a post about how what most people are trying to do is explain to you the scope of these addons and you reply with a post MISTATING THE SCOPE OF THESE ADDONS. You really could not give me any better gift. People using this addon do not know exactly where the mob spawns! They don't do that, what they do is give you a mini-map radius. Honestly Square should dedicate it's next patch to the proud individuals that have wasted countless hours correcting you and your hyperbolic ilk on these forums.

You're in such a frenzy you don't care what the addons do. You speculate and invent functionality of the addons simply because you're out of control and the few people trying to talk reason to you have it implied that they're cheaters. You're just the worst. All you want is some feel good message board freak out. Call for bans that you know can't happen, complaining about cheat programs with functionality you dreamt up, and declaring anyone who isn't acting like you a cheater.

Well according to several hunting threads here, people have in fact done this, despite it being against the ToS.
