FFXIV: Cheat 2 Win - The New Norm?

From what I've read, this "overpowered radar app" isn't really any different from what could be accomplished using widescan in FFXI. It can only see mobs local to your character - entire zones aren't instantly loaded into memory.

Solution: Implement widescan in FF14.

They can't do anything about third party apps without violating player privacy. Their software would require the ability to read all processes on your machine, which requires administrator level privileges. They'd be in violation of privacy laws in several countries.

edit: Just to clarify, I am referring specifically to those apps that read incoming data and not hacks, which effect ingame memory.

Like privacy laws mean anything, Safe bet the NSA knows what's on your PC and mine.

maybe you should do some research before making ridiculously exaggerated claims about players cheating. A large group of players spread out in several zones will ALWAYS claim/find more hunt marks than a small group of players using the radar. The # of mobs that it shows is very insignificant. Its just useful in finding mobs when a large number are clustered together or obstructed by terrain. Its range is essentially your FoV (what is loaded on your screen)

Flash news: Wide Scan are not job exclusive anymore. Several previous patches already unlocked this feat for all jobs, thanks to Adoulin. lol

Hmmm a simple idea is that you can only get rewards(that includes myths, sol, seals, drops) only once per mark in a week. That way atleast all the marks would get some work on them, not be overly limiting and allow all of us to enjoy it - I mean there are 3 marks in a zone and there are what 15 zones(I don't rocall all of them so might be wrong on that)? so 45 marks in total - so instead of running in a single zone you would just be going through them all once per week. Similarly needs to happen to the weekly elite mark - they need to rotate the mark for each player they give it to that way only part of a server is looking for one mark - instead of the whole server going after that one mark.

I haven't even seen a mark until yesterday when I was in a zone and someone shouted that a mark was up with coords - I was lucky I was like next to it because 30s after that someone ran through the mark and grabbed aggro a friend I let know about it ported in at the moment it died.

I've personally seen people shouting for parties using the radar app. RIP those guys, enjoy the ban.

Hmmm, since SE would loose a massive amount of money if they removed all the cheaters. Would it be acceptable to just throw them all on the same server and not let them change?

You want to cheat? Fine, but do it with your fellow cheaters because legit players do not want to see that crap.
