With the benefit of hindsight, we aren't crazy about /fume either, and have been leaning towards changing it to something a bit fouler and much more fun to type. We've been kicking around a few ideas (like /damnit), but have to run them by some people to make sure they are allowed under the game's current rating. Hence the late reply to this thread. Soz for that!

Unfortunately, it's too late to sneak this or any other emote changes into 1.18. The UI team has informed us, however, that we should be able to tweak emotes as much as we like in 1.19. Until then, I can only /ask that you /grin and /bearit... (crickets chirping) I... I'm sorry.

Feel free to post any other suggestions you have for emote commands or emote-related log text. We consider emotes to be extremely important, as they are often the primary means of communication between players in different regions, and so we are always amenable to improving their clarity wherever possible.

Duly noted!
