Good way to do that? Make PVP gear immune to ilvl sync in PVP content. I think that would definitely help matters. That way, folks in PVP can wear whatever they want and don't have to worry about arbitrary stats like Morale and, if they do wear PVP gear over i80, they should at least have superior base stats vs. PVE gear.

I know morale doesn't work in frontlines but how about the PvP materias? I've seen BLM loaded with stun resistant materia in Wolves Den. Not that it matters that much now that stuns and sleeps are nerfed.
Materia and morale both have no effect. From the duty description:
"*While synced, all item stats are adjusted and materia bonuses are ignored."
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
Why is it a horrible idea for PVP gear to receive special treatment in a PVP map? What good is PVP gear if it is inferior to PVE gear in a PVP map other than for glamour? If Frontlines ilvl syncs gear and nullifies all materia, then what is the point of PVP gear existing at all? For that matter, why does Frontlines give Wolf Marks to buy gear that is inferior in PVP compared to every other piece of PVE gear already earned?

The problem is that they seriously messed up when designing the PvP gear. They seemed to have been attempting to make PvP gear less than optimal outside PvP. The problem came in the fact that Morale is far to strong. It has an effective ilevel of +20 in PvP and that pretty much killed PvP.Why is it a horrible idea for PVP gear to receive special treatment in a PVP map? PvP equipment is hardly as bad as you think it is becuase so much gear has dead stats like Accuracy, Parry and Piety. The Bearsmaw Axe and the Direwolf Battleaxe are both better than a High Allagan Axe in Frontlines. Lionsmane Cuirass is the third best chest for Paladins. Snaketongue Spear is the 4th best Dragoon Spear after a High Allagan Spear, Liberator and Allagan Spear.

I'm not saying morale has to make a lick of difference in Frontlines. But for the love of all things sacred, just give the PVP gear SOMETHING to work with! I mean, ideally, I'd love to see the morale stat completely eradicated because it's clearly only ever useful in Wolves' Den and it is as overpowered as you say. I just want to be able to use something besides endgame PVE and have it work just as well.
The point of PvP gear is to use it in Wolve's den.Why is it a horrible idea for PVP gear to receive special treatment in a PVP map? Newp.
Leave it as is so theres a level playing field between those who win-traded abused their way to r40 gear and the new players setting foot in Frontlines. PvP should be about teamwork and skill, not who has the best gear. Fortunatly for the rest, Yoshi took the smart option and ilvl synched.
