It's pretty frustrating to find that NM and watch with horror as rather than your guildmates arriving dozens of people from a link shell probably using a radar app flood in to reduce your contribution to nil.

Either you don't care/know about reducing people's contribution or you're a class that can get high contribution regardless of how many people are nuking it, either way you're still being ignorant of the fact that this content is meant to be competitive, it's not a FATE and people need to stop treating it like that. I understand why people do but still, it's irritating to see people flood in to reduce my contribution and treat ME like the bad guy for wanting to get more than 2 seals.

To me it seems like you basically said the same thing I did in different words.

And from experience in killing several of these Rank B and A's so far I can tell you that with the rank A's (and likely S rank as well) if you are not in a party to kill these you will not gain the full benefit.
I've been in parties to kill rank A mobs to receive 80 Myth and 20 seals. I fought a Rank A solo this morning while other parties also killed it and only received 1 seal and 3 myth, for the same amount of time I have fought a rank A while in a party.

Let me get this right. Are you suggesting that just the act of being in a party alone is increasing your contribution and amount of seals? That's even more reason to take them on yourself, since if you wait for extra parties possibly with more heavy hitters than you, you're just going to lose contribution.

Your contribution is based on damage/threat/healing/whatever done to the monster. When you're in a group, you get the entire group's contribution added to your own. So every member of an 8 person group gets a much higher contribution than a solo player would. It's why everybody in an 8 person group can hit a rank B 2-3 times and they all get full credit, but a solo player would probably only get 1-3 seals.

Yep. The more people there are, the better it is to be in a party.

There is a critical mass though, where if there are too many people present and the mark dies way too fast, barely anyone will get full credit which is why there are a lot of "fast" pulls.
