I could understand to turn off my glow as a vanity thing but this isn't right.

So the people who grind for their glow/aura effect can't show it off to other people? That's just wrong in my personal opinion. I don't care for glow either but I'm not gonna ask to not see others because I I I me me me doesn't like what others do.

Edit. Yeah I do realize this can go both ways in terms of what others want. I just think it's not right.

Last time I checked, vanity was for your own fun not for others, hence the word vanity. I use the vanity system to enjoy my kind of aesthetics, for me. Whatever anyone does is up to them, let them be free, they may have different tastes, doesn't mean they're wrong or horrible, I won't judge them and you shouldn't too. Who knows, your choice of vanity may look horrible to them?

If i think someones vanity is good, I might be impressed, I might even whisper them that it's good, but this is me noticing it. I wouldn't want it all shoved in my face saying "Hey, look at me, notice me, I'm shiny." There's a difference between being smart and original and being a walking flashlight.

A bit late on that. They put glows on stuff when they can't be bothered to do anything else to distinguish them from other articles of clothing, weapons, or whatever.

For example, you get the relic > Upgrade to Zenith (nice new glow) > Atma (oh, there goes my glow) > Animus (Get your glow back) > Novus (Glow...but different colour).

I just feel like slapping a glow onto something is a cheap and easy way to get away with showing an upgrade in something. I love the blood rendering on the Bravura Atma and would much prefer something more menacing like perhaps the blood dripping from it rather than some stupid sparkles. I want to be barbaric and swing my axe. Not be Barbie and throw pink sparkles.

I agree but I'm not going to hold it against people if people like it like that, more choices the better! Another idea might be to change in the actual physical properties/appearance that shows an actual improvement.

The option to toggle glowing gear will be fine. It'll be good company to the grass toggle I keep off.

Found that the WHM glow seems to fit..

And I'm used to more than that as per glowing goes, so far.
