FPS drops and Crashes

I am getting the same odd FPS drops. Running on a 7970 Ghz and i'm experiencing drops from 50+ to 1-2 fps. Really starting to be annoying. It seems to occur randomly all over the game, but most noticeably in Mor Dhona. When monitoring GPU usage it seems to throttle itself whenever this occurs. It only happens in FFXIV.

I am now having less issues in Mor Dhona after I got a new modem today, however the random fps drops and game crashes continue. This is very similar to the major issues Tera had with the end game "event' Nexus. No matter how good a pc's specs were, everyone had the same issue with 1-3 fps and the game crashing.
Ever since everyone was allowed to stay logged in permanently this issue has gotten worse and worse. Since 2.3 now, I get random lag spikes that sometimes cause my fps to move down to 1 fps. When this occurs 100% of the time now the game will crash. It is occurring in more remote areas like Upper La Noscea, Whitebrim. Limsa Lominsa, near at the Aetherite Plaza I had this issue when I was teleporting to Mor Dhona today. I have never had a lag issue there.

I am getting the same problem. I just recently reapplied some new thermal paste and did a deep clean because I was having overheating issues. So I know its not overheating. I use HWmonitor to make sure of that anyways. Everything is running pretty cool. No higher than 60C on my GPU.
