FPS drops and Crashes

After the 2.3 patch, occasionally my FPS will drop from 40-60 to 1 FPS. It's not just the FPS as well, if it's just the FPS, players would still be able to move in 1 FPS right? Somehow, i get the FPS drop and the system barely recognises any actions I do Like if I press forward for 10 seconds, I'll move 1-2 steps max.

And almost always after this, I'll get disconnected something along of "Final Fantasy XIV has encountered an error" or a 90k.

Another new problem now. After teleporting to a new zone, everything just stops. I can still move the camera, rotate my character (although still, imagine rotating a wooden model), chat still works.

As in everything is still, me, people around me, even falling snow is stuck mid-air.

this for me too. used to happen from 2.0 til the first patch of 2.2. Then something got fixed. now with 2.3 its happening all over again. boo

I also have this issue. I have had it before 2.3 mainly while zoning from Revenants Toll to Coerthas. I don't even have to zone I just have to be close to it and fps drops down to 1-3. My character can't move from any actions I take. Sometimes I will eventually zone, sometimes crash. After 2.3 it is a 100% issue so I can no longer zone into Coerthas from Mor Dhona. I also had the same issue in the Whitebrim keep. It's the only time I have had this issue there.

I don't have FPS issues, but I am seeing more frequent crashes. Especially during teleportation/zoning.

I am getting the same odd FPS drops. Running on a 7970 Ghz and i'm experiencing drops from 50+ to 1-2 fps. Really starting to be annoying. It seems to occur randomly all over the game, but most noticeably in Mor Dhona. When monitoring GPU usage it seems to throttle itself whenever this occurs. It only happens in FFXIV.

I am now having less issues in Mor Dhona after I got a new modem today, however the random fps drops and game crashes continue. This is very similar to the major issues Tera had with the end game "event' Nexus. No matter how good a pc's specs were, everyone had the same issue with 1-3 fps and the game crashing.
Ever since everyone was allowed to stay logged in permanently this issue has gotten worse and worse. Since 2.3 now, I get random lag spikes that sometimes cause my fps to move down to 1 fps. When this occurs 100% of the time now the game will crash. It is occurring in more remote areas like Upper La Noscea, Whitebrim. Limsa Lominsa, near at the Aetherite Plaza I had this issue when I was teleporting to Mor Dhona today. I have never had a lag issue there.

I am getting the same problem. I just recently reapplied some new thermal paste and did a deep clean because I was having overheating issues. So I know its not overheating. I use HWmonitor to make sure of that anyways. Everything is running pretty cool. No higher than 60C on my GPU.

My system is fully updated too. I play a lot of games on PC, ranging from simple emulators to Crysis 3, low-end to high-end spec requirements, and they run just fine. The problem only persists in FFXIV, might be a corrupt file somewhere >.<
