My 50" Panasonic Plasma is over 6 years old. I have looked through the manual. This is not a TV issue. If it was, it would still do it when the game setting is switched to 720p. That is a game setting, not a TV setting.
I could go on, This does not happen in Battlefield 4... or any other game I've played on the PS4. The fact that in-game menus make it go away leads me to the game.
