    I get WHY they went with the free for all route but why not have a cap to participants?

    After X amounts of people have laid their axe on the mob the mob could just be untargetable for all the rest.

    Caps this high wouldn't make it RMT worthy and still keep actual design in the way fights work.

    Sure would be nice if I'd be able to see those S-Ranks at some point, but I guess it's still too early for that since nobody knows what the spawn conditions are so far or how to spawn them if they can make something out of the hints from the Hunters.

    This is not how free roaming open world enemies work. Remember back to the launch day, where around 50 people and more went out of the city to kill lady bugs for their first quest.

    This is what happen when people demand and want open world NM. It will never work. People will camp it and zerge it down in seconds. I already knew it was bad news when I read the patch that it is none claim system and open to everyone. You don't expect people to dominate and camp it?

    Only way to make it work is make it instances, like how FFXI done where you trade in seal and it warp you in to battle the boss. Or make the Elite Monster have a lot of HP and make it very difficult so it won't be over in seconds.

    I thought SE would learn it by now how bad Odin and KB Fates is.

    Garlock needed more than just seconds.
    He gave also around 50 seals

    How i see it, the only problem are the B rank elites. The lowest rank could have a bit more HP

    Not much of a hunt if all you have to do is to stumble across the randomized spawn (and nobody really knows how S rank works yet but that's a good thing).
    People who aren't in a very active linkshell are essentially screwed.
    Not sure how this could be improved without significantly devaluing the rewards but camping, waiting and hoping for RNG to smile upon you wasn't fun before and still isn't fun.

    I spent all of yesterday farming seals (500 seals & 1 book) and I've come to the conclusion that rank-A marks are severely in need of at least 10x+ the amount of health they already have. There's usually so many people there that the fight is over within 15 seconds from engagement. The spawn times are long enough to where this should not be an issue. Make the fights last for five minutes and give people enough time to get to the location. It's ridiculous.

    Overall the Elite Hunt mobs need a bit of changes, but they are not bad. 17 zones, with each having an B A and S rank Elite Hunt. B gives 5 seals, A gives 20, and S gives 50 seals (plus myth and soldiery). They seem to have less then a 1hr respawn time for B and A's, and S we do not know enough about yet.

    They are new, and alot of people are doing them, and this is where the problem lies. You spot it, and you let people know (shout, LS, FC, ...) and you give time for people to get there, but someone always pulls when people are still coming (and sometimes steps away), and these people get nothing. Further, for B rank mobs, they die in 2-3 seconds with many people hunting, making it so some people who are there may not get full credit. They really need an HP boost!! More HP = more people who have a chance to hit to get credit, and more likely to get credit when larger groups are present/coming so people will stop being selfish and pulling to get it done before too many ppl show up as to where they will not get credit.

    The biggest issue many have is with their weekly Elite Hunt. Naul seems to have been the popular one this week. What people do not yet realize is Naul is a B Elite, so you get % Alied seals for killing and a bonus 20 from the weekly mark tag. Guess what, killing any A gives you 20, they are easier to get credit, take longer to die, and the lst goes on. Focusing all your time on your weekly one isn't efficient. You really just want to go hunt Elites, and if in doing so you find Naul (or w/e your weekly is), then woot a bonus 20 added to the kill. Later in the week, maybe add more focus for getting the bonus, but on day 1, its not worth it

    Make the hunt spawn with a 1-3 minute invulnerability buff, or make it start with stacks of a incoming damage reduction buff that scales with the amount of people on it's hate list that steadily goes down over time on engage.

    Everyone relax, it's the first day.

    I logged on last night and there were 10-20x the normal amount of players in every zone.

    Fast forward a few weeks from now and things will be back to normal.
