It looks like it's somewhat supposed to work in tandem with CT2, as people are reporting getting Unidentified Allagan Tomestones from the final boss. That is, you get the tomestone, get your weathered Weapon, get your sand from Hunts, and boom, new shiny i110 weapon. Good alternative to T7 farming/Atma line for more options.

Yeah, that is nice! They're saying the final boss also drops Oils to upgrade your accessories. Of course, it's one piece per week.
