Personal Chambers and Future Free Company Removal

So, lets say someone is gone from the FC for a few months because they do all the content that interests them, and the FC removes the member. Let's also say its after the developers have added the ability to kick out those with a chamber. Are the patch notes suggesting that the player would lose a 300,000 gil investment along with all furniture? Considering the effort it takes to get certain kinds of furniture, that doesn't really sound all that appealing to me...

I'm with Cuervo on this one. As much as I love my FC I don't want to be tied to them for life with this stupid implementation of housing. I'll wait until SE gets it right. They always try everything else in the world first before they finally just do the right thing (like market boards\AH that they eventually made useable).

I'll wait it out. I've managed this long without housing - what's a few more patches for the sh*t storm to reach Yoshi's desk?

The logical decision IMO would be to make use of the Mog Delivery System in both the case that you either leave the FC or you are removed from the FC by officers. While yes, you do lose out on the 300,000 Gil investment your furniture will be sent to you via the delivery system so you do not lose it. I just couldn't see SE putting the chambers into place without having a way for you to retrieve your valuables. A lot of that stuff is rare and very personal to the player.

I didn't realize that was the case. Thanks for pointing that out! The losing out on a 300,000 gil investment is still bad though and I think I'll wait for a true mog house before throwing gil at player housing.

It isnt the case. You get a bare bones empty room that you can fill with you OWN furniture. I've already bought mine.

I was asking, since I wasn't quite sure myself. But then I remembered, they said eventually, you'll be able to carry your chambers around to different FCs, if you leave. As long as you pay the fee in a new FC.

Anther 300k fee? I know that gil is basically worthless in the game but come on SE, how many times are you going to force the same gilsink?

I really hope they rethink this. It's already keeping housing out of reach for many players who don't want to join a FC and are happy in linkshells. Why are they excluded? It doesn't make sense.
