Isn't the furniture based on whats currently in the estate?
I didn't realize that was the case. Thanks for pointing that out! The losing out on a 300,000 gil investment is still bad though and I think I'll wait for a true mog house before throwing gil at player housing.

It isnt the case. You get a bare bones empty room that you can fill with you OWN furniture. I've already bought mine.

I was asking, since I wasn't quite sure myself. But then I remembered, they said eventually, you'll be able to carry your chambers around to different FCs, if you leave. As long as you pay the fee in a new FC.
Anther 300k fee? I know that gil is basically worthless in the game but come on SE, how many times are you going to force the same gilsink?
I really hope they rethink this. It's already keeping housing out of reach for many players who don't want to join a FC and are happy in linkshells. Why are they excluded? It doesn't make sense.
