There is no doubt that a formula is in play that will change the drop rates and what fates drop them etc, the problem is we don't know this formula.

When the producer director gets on and says its just rng and luck, pretty sure it has no formula outside of dice roll algorithm.
Edit: formula=1(1d100)
Exactly ^
Producer has already stated atma is absolutely completely rng, no theories involved will ever change that and sorry no formulas as well.
Wish it were simple![]()

Obtained my third Atma of the Scorpion from "He's a Firestarter" in Southern Thanalan. Nothing to do with scorpions or the constellation Scorpio and definitely different from where I got my first two copies of it.
First of all, the quest itself says you can get it from any FATE in the area.Hello all atma hunters I have been looking up atma locations and theory's and what not. With that I pretty much came up with nothing besides everyone still running around doing random fates. Now I have concluded a theory of my own, and my theory seems to be working So far. My theory is this: (( YOU DO NOT GET ATMA FROM RANDOM FATES!)), I repeat WILL NOT get atma from random fates so stop running around)) this was a fake theory anxious atma hunters both American and Japanese both came up with. THE TRUTH IS THE ATMA WILL ONLY DROP FROM IT'S CORESPONDING FATE. Example: (atma of the lions) WILL DROP ONLY FROM FATE BOSS COREUL IN OUTER COSCEA NO OTHER FATE, stop doing random's cause its wasteing your time you need to camp that specific fate, now what is true is that the drop is extremely low regardless and what I have come to learn is that how many people doing this fate will effect the drop as well.
Second, your very own example is false, as I did not get my Atma from that Coeurl fate in Outer La Noscea.
Please stop trying to make things up.
ATMA is pure RNG, from any fate in the corresponding area. That. Is. It.
