I'm seriously considering giving a member 300k then kicking him (of course he knows this is an experiment) Then inviting him back to see what he gets to keep, take, or lose.

You really missed the point here... LOLNot a team player I see? This is why the world gets worse every day, "me me me" attitude. Don't join just any random FC, get to know the people, set ranks on who can even create a personal room. People should prove themselves to not be a selfish monster/troll before being allowed to participate. They are trying to foster a feeling of community and people working together with a shared purpose of accomplishing group and separate goals, but together as a team.
People also need to quit speculating, I'm certain many of these things will be available when personal housing comes out but don't give up on the community before they have a chance to try and make it happen.
It's not like bad design went away when they fixed that small issue. I still don't understand why you can't leave a party from anywhere in the world. The other night I was grinding in coerthas and I was in a party, teleported back to the company house to tend the garden and then realized I couldn't leave. I mean, what kind of a rock stupid design makes it through QA that you can't leave a party unless you are in an "open" area? Yea, I could have left the party before going back to the house and had it not been 1 AM with my eyes barely open and several empty cider bottles on the desk that's probably what I would have done. That in no way excuses absolutely dumb design such as this. I should be able to leave a party whenever I choose no matter where I am in the game. I just logged off in frustration. Let the members kick me... if they can....this is more so sounding like the bad design of the LS's in 1.0, where you basically had to be standing in front of the person to add/kick them to the LS. We had one person who needed to be kicked and they were running around the world, hiding and talking in LS, refusing to come out. What a hassle.
We still REALLY need some dev responses in here - at least some kind of acknowledgement that yes, we see that maybe we didn't think this all the way through and we can hold it back another patch or two while we examine these potential HUGE issues.
Bump
Please SE share some clarification about if power users get a trip and kick out some members (the which you have no control over it), or even if the leader wants to kick a member for any reason other than just a power trip.
We know that a player that wants to leave must empty the room (losing everything) but he can move (pocket space reserved) the personal room into another FC, or to make his own and put it there.
What we want to know is if a player is behaving badly for example, and the end results in kicking him: will he still have his personal room in a pocket space until he joins another one, of course still losing all items he inserted?
I am happy to see that other players will test and lose 300 gil for the rest of the community, but I believe SE should make it clear and not letting the player base in limbo.
Thank you for your time.
Since you have to be a certain rank with your GC to obtain a private room and other conditions it makes sense that you have a well structured FC with a great Master. If you don't know your FC members well and you know even less about your FC then don't buy a room. I'm debating if rooms should be given to FC members on a condition basis. I wasn't too impressed that the same number of rooms are available to an FC house regardless of it's size. Had I had known that I would never have considered a large section. So my verdict is that the risk is entirely on the person buying the room and since we ourselves are effectively still recruiting new members most of them are unable to buy private rooms because they don't meet the conditions just us old hands and older members that join can take advantage.

As others have stated... people may change. I had one in my FC that was nice and lots of fun for months, then he maxed all classes and started to complain and act like we weren't good enough to lick his shoes. >: ( Only person I've ever suggested privately that they should look for a better-fitting FC elsewhere. If this person had invested money into a room and irreplaceable furniture (destroyed after removal), would he have never left and continued to give us grief? Also, some FCs (like mine) accept all newcomers cause we are there to help others, you never know what you'll get after some time has passed.

That is very odd... I have join, started, disbanded and left several parties in and around my Free Company house... actually we tend to meet up at the house when starting parties, and then when we are done people leave and go their way. I've never had this specific issue.I still don't understand why you can't leave a party from anywhere in the world. The other night I was grinding in coerthas and I was in a party, teleported back to the company house to tend the garden and then realized I couldn't leave. I mean, what kind of a rock stupid design makes it through QA that you can't leave a party unless you are in an "open" area?
I was actually in the game up in Coerthas so decided to test this. I had a friend invite me to a party so I couldn't just disband it, and when I finished killing my things I went back to the house and tended the garden, then pulled up my party menu and was able to disband no issues. So I don't know if you had a glitch or what, but it's not bad design seeing that you are able to leave a party at your FC house.
Exactly people change and so do their preferences. We are a mid-core FC and we try to do a bit of everything, but our main focus is helping people. But some who joined our FC later found they needed a more hard core shell because they wanted to focus on end game, which we do not focus on. So yes, people change, their preferences change etc... so no matter how much you get to know someone, that doesn't mean they will be like that forever. As others have stated... people may change. I had one in my FC that was nice and lots of fun for months, then he maxed all classes and started to complain and act like we weren't good enough to lick his shoes. >: ( Only person I've ever suggested privately that they should look for a better-fitting FC elsewhere.

I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
I couldn't right click and leave, I couldn't disband, the button on the window was grayed out - maybe it was a glitch but I have had similar issues with chocobo in party. I've not been able to dissolve the party or leave the party unless I leave the city or housing district. I actually stopped using the chocobo altogether because it's so inconvenient.
So maybe it's not a design issue and was just a glitch - but that's a heck of a glitch.
Then again - it was 1 am and several ciders in so.. SE gets a pass on this one... but not the FC stuff. This is shaping up to be a nightmare if how they plan to implement this comes to pass.
* As of patch 2.3, free company members who have purchased private chambers cannot be discharged from the free company. This will be addressed in a future update, so as private chambers will be vacated automatically upon discharging. this is on notes i hope it ansewers your ? but i do not like the fact you lose you room if they kick you

From full patch notes:
Oh man, someone really needs to tell Squenix how Western players troll. Better be careful who you invite to your FC, because if they buy a room they're with you forever (or until the future update).* As of patch 2.3, free company members who have purchased private chambers cannot be discharged from the free company. This will be addressed in a future update, so as private chambers will be vacated automatically upon discharging.
