Whether it's easier or more difficult to bot in FFXIV than other games is completely irrelevant. That's why it's not a moot point. If they made changes that kept the spirit of the system but made it more difficult to bot, wouldn't you be in favour of it?

The OP is clearly way off base and I mostly agree with your earlier sentiments. But justifying a mediocre system by comparing the relative ease to other games makes little sense.
