Yeah I think the items should stay exclusive as well. But you'd think SE would make it easier for some fans to attend the cons by opening them in more places. Ultimately it'd be up to square whether or not the stuff will be exclusive or assessible to all players (maybe as veteran rewards?)

They could just as well be held some place you could attend, and others would have difficulty with. Pretty sure there are people who will be going who have made sacrifices in order to do so, fair play to them.
I doubt I'll be attending, but I stand by my opinion that whatever they give out should be exclusive to those that are fortunate enough to attend in person. Same goes for the forum contest prizes and Lightning event gear. Exclusive is exclusive, and people want it to stand out.

It's not the same, the items i listed were obtained or can be obtained by everyone in equal conditions, or at least for a reasonable amount of money, the ticked is expensive enough but it's still feasible, but if it requires physical attendance the cost is ridiculously higher, some ppl have familiar responsibilities, jobs, money problems, those are RL problems or responsibilities affecting your virtual experience by giving these fortunate ppl an unfair advantage in order to acquire virtual goods, and don't say it'll just be vanity, because for some ppl this game is about vanity as much as it is about battle.

Personally i don't care about the item, unless it's something i want desperately, don't think so, but this is an important matter for some ppl and SE will have to respond sooner or later, remember you can't toss the word exclusivity so easily when you're charging money for a service.

Fan Festival is also going to London. So you could goto the event and get the same item if thats your worry.

I think the physical items should be the exclusive ones that can only be claimed in person. It's one thing not to want to mail the gift bags out to people who don't show up but when it comes to digital stuff (like giving something to a pre registered character or giving codes to claim items/services), that doesn't need to be an in person only thing. The physical items though, that's very reasonable to be in person only.

Server-side features should be the only thing sold on MS. Transfers, character remodel, etc.
Maybe they can add it as a veteran reward / event at a much later time.

I don't understand why do they call this discussion when ppl is not willing to listen and discuss others' opinions, if i give you reasons to state what in my opinion is fair, you can't just say "no you're wrong" because that's the meaning of your post.

Seriously if you wanna discuss, counter my argument with a better one not with a rant response.

In case you have not understood my post, you can't give something that affects others' in-game experience based on IRL capabilities and call it fair, this is a P2P game, and RL capabilities should never give you "exclusivity" over an in-game item, before replying this post i advice you to read this and my previous one.
