People do it for expert roulette till they get Brayflox because it was the easiest dungeon and can be done in under 12 minutes with most pick up groups. Why would you re-enter till you get the dungeon you want? Totally defeats the
purpose of roullette lol. And most likely, the amount of time it takes to keep queuing
up for and to keep changing... you were better off just finishing the one you got to
begin with. Some people...

But if it's random, there's a chance it could take you 5 minutes just to get
the dungeon you want, and those 5 minutes you wasted could have been the
trash mobs up to the first boss. I just don't get some people. Why even do the
expert roulette to begin with? You're probably doing speed runs and leaving at the
second boss for MYTH. Expert roulette gives you SOLDIERY at the end of the run... lol

People do that for expert roulette because it's required for a daily quest to obtain alexandrite and you have to complete the entire dungeon. But if it's random, there's a chance it could take you 5 minutes just to get

So many pages of repeating the same :/
It's a good change and it only affects roulette.

Forgot about the dungeon map. But assuming that the people working on their
novus are doing these00 roulette on the job they have the novus, they are more
than likely in some of the best gear the game has to offer right now. All the expert
dungeons are a breeze, and take MAYBE 6 more minutes max than Brayflox. So as I
was saying, the time it takes for them to get the dungeon they want is the same amount
of time it would take to just do the dungeon you got to begin with lol.

I have to agree with the OP on this one, the change doesn't make a lot of sense to me really. The only thing it prevents is people leaving their duty roulette dungeon to try and get a specific one, I doubt any of the dungeons will take less than 10 minutes to complete to begin with and leaving/re-entering multiple times will just increase the amount of time spent. It also only really effects full parties since you already incur a penalty if you leave a dungeon with a partial party as far as I'm aware.
Since this only applies to roulette, it doesn't fix myth farming or anything like that so all I can say is.. what a pointless change.

It wasn't done to fix myth farming. They don't want to "fix" myth farming because is not a broken method of farming.
The way I see it is for roulette to be roulette. As in you shouldn't choose which dungeon to run on a roulette.

You know that they don't always have 4 people, sometimes you can party up with 2-3 people and queue for Roulette. When those 2-3 people don't get the instance they wanted they drop while the solo queue DPS that waited 20min to even get in there is left alone wandering what the hell just happened.I have to agree with the OP on this one, the change doesn't make a lot of sense to me really. I'll applaud any efforts by SE to curb dickish behavior.

I meant doesn't, not does.. just a typo my bad.

As far as I know if you join Duty Roulette as a partial party you already receive a penalty when you leave. It is only a full party that does not receive a penalty for leaving. I could be wrong I guess as I haven't left a roulette in a partial party at the start of the run ever but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. You know that they don't always have 4 people, sometimes you can party up with 2-3 people and queue for Roulette. When those 2-3 people don't get the instance they wanted they drop while the solo queue DPS that waited 20min to even get in there is left alone wandering what the hell just happened.
