I need a honest opinion about the Atma drop rate......

OP I understand your pain, wish I could help :X

At this point, if I were you, I'd either quit the game from frustration, or in my case, because I really like the game (or other aspects of it), I'd drop hunting for this weapon until its nerfed (and it will, because I don't see this same requirment in 1 year when we will have Super Novus Atma Multiple Power Thyrus out ) And go for another weapon until then.

While true problem is by then there will still be 3-4 "current" steps that have not been nerfed yet. I doubt there comes a time when they nerf everything into th floor except the most current step.


That was my logic at 1st too but after seeing were not 3 steps deep and no nerf in sight. Decided that wasn't ever going to work. By the time they nerf the steps the "nerfed step final result" will be so subpar it will not matter because you wouldn't use it anyway.

Imagine if they nerfed atma/animus in 2.4 yay you get a ilvl 100 weapon. Except now there is ilvl 135 weapons from final coil. Ilvl 120 weapons in group content and ilvl 130 weapons from raids/most current version of the weapon/etc

Everybody is complaining about atmas, it's all just luck.

My first atma I got on my second fate. My second atma took me....6 weeks to get. My third atma I have yet to get, it's been about another 6-7 weeks with no drop, yet I am still not complaining, other than the fact that I really hate S. Thanalan now

I feel your pain, Southern Thanalan was my longest one.

I'm at 6. Not going too bad for me, out side of 2 that have caused. Me world's of trouble, the 7th which I'm currently on, and number 1. Which I started at the top of the list, bent branch, took about a week of 1-2 hour a day. Finally got it and got on a roll. All the way to where I am now. Took some time off of hunting, about a week now, to help my friend I got addicted to the game to get him some levels. And low and behold he jumps in a fate. In bent branch, all I do is walk over to heal him, get gold from it, and get the atom... Again XD. It'll go towards my ninja weapon or pld weapon, currently the only 2 other weapons I plan to work in, but it's a cruel world, taunting me with my first atma that took so long, just handing it me me when I'm not needing it any more
