Agreed. Instead they should say this to SE. "SE, don't do it." For every person who doesn't mind the mindless grind, I guarantee there are several more who are sickened by it, who either actually won't do it but are offended it's even there, and others who will do it and hate themselves for it. Both of these types of people get that much closer to quitting every time something like this is introduced into the game. If SE doesn't respect the players time, if FUN is not the #1 concern, it will hurt them long term.

So basically, you've ignored the bolt part and gave the generic answer you give to every atma thread. I really hope SE's mentality is not on line with the answers I'm getting here, because one more thing like the Atma quest in a future patch and as much as I love this game I'm out. Grinding myths? It's fun. Primals? Fun. Some sort of quest? More or less fun. Dungeons? Fun. Travelling 20000 kms with your chocobo? We have a problem here.

Honestly, I'm not seeing how it's useless. I see people with Allagan/EX weapons that have T6-9 clears, they didn't need atma weapons to clear them. They didn't need atma weapons to clear anything. Why is it so hard to consider that atma weapons aren't NEEDED for all content?

No one enjoys grinding for atma. Some of just look at it differently. SE figured out a way to get people to sign in and play for days on end while before atma, people logged in for a couple hours one day a week for coil. If you don't like it but keep playing regardless, how does that hurt SE? I do wonder how many empty threats have been made by people on here saying they will quit and what percentage they truly make up of the whole.

Exactly. Remember when you had to grind to get to 50 OP? Wasn't that just fun spamming the same dungeon over and over? Or how about the Brayflox myth spam now? Isn't that just SO much fun?

They don't even need to quit, there is literally 1000's of hours of alternative content that can be completed instead of choosing to farm atma's. Clearly the content must be rewarding if so many people choose to gather atma's over anything else.
