    I want them to continue primal fights but to also explore other things like open world, event, and quest requirement primal-like fights. An example of a requirement primal/boss fight would be that the server collectively needs to deposit (X amount of mob loot in a container to make this particular primal/boss to appear). Community involvement needs to be a way forth for the game.

    The problem is that the current implementation of FATEs (Or rather the current design process that goes into them) is that the complexity of the encounter can't be too high due to the number of participants being included. Even Behemoth and Odin are glorified spank and tanks - even in comparison to fights like Garuda or Titan Normal. Their number outputs are high (Damage, HP, etc.) but the actual intensity of the fights from a mechanical standpoint is quite low.

    What mob family do you want to see get a primal?

    What about your title actually? Like a brand-new Primal which does never exist in any other FF-Title and also does not relate to any of the existing Mobs? Most Primals had their first appearance at one point in a certain title.. why not make FFXIV the first Game for a Brand New Primal?

    SE/or someone in this Forum could make a Thread and gather Idea's for that kind of new Primal.

    That would be interesting. There are plenty of mythos that haven't been touched yet.

    I'm still partial to making Seraph a primal.

    The entire FATE system has potential, but virtually none of it has been tapped.

    Here is what needs to happen to make FATEs more interesting/useful.

    NM (Notorious Monster) FATES
    • Random spawn across multiple maps (like Odin)
    • Significant random window for spawning
    • Does not show up on any maps until first engaged.
    • Every NM should drop currency (100%), thematic standard crafting materials (~30%) and special/unique crafting items that can be used to create thematic gear (15%, max 1), and ultra rare novelty item: minion/furniture/lvl1gear/mount/etc. (.05%)
    • Drop % modified by the following factors: first to engage, battle rank, same level as mob, etc.

    The problem is that if the rewards are good they will be camped/monopolized (And thus people will complain that the content is not accessible enough) and if the rewards are not good then nobody will use the content and it will be wasted. It's a lose/lose and probably the reason why they have not tried to address the problem with FATEs despite everyone telling them that they're problematic.

    Point taken.

    I should state that improving the relevancy of FATES needs to be tied to an abandonment of the vertical ilvl growth.

    FATES need to drop items that are alternatives to other gear. Right now, with ilvl, we are left with vanilla items that are strictly better or worse..

    If FATES drop high ilvl gear, they will be overcamped until such a time when the next ilvl tier is reached, after which they will be completely ignored.


    So yeah, FATES will suck as long as we have iLvl.

    Their are still a few I'd love to see in game, fenrir, ixion, magus sisters, anima, yojimbo tho not sure how Jim would work due to being too similar to Odin.
    Knights of the round, can just picture the chaos.
    Though I would also love to see new threats emerge, as suggested cactaur king, could be an off shoot of the zombies are people too quest, where they all ran off and combined to make the king.
    A mega tonberry , pheonix, Doomtrain, the list is endless and someone posted before on forums about an amazing way to bring Doomtrain into XIV, wish it could find that post..

    Fenrir will come, even if we can't be sure if it will be a Primal or like Siren/Diabolos. Fenrir FFXIV Concept Art:



    But yeah, hopefully Fenrir won't end up like Siren/Dia.
