Any word on when we will get an Auction House?

I think a good solution would be to eliminate the market wards area, use that area for "personal housing" since no one wants to call it a mog house. Allow us to summon and interact with our retainers in our "personal housing" and when you enter that area you have the option of going to your space or searching retainers and making a purchase that would be delivered to your housing area. The only thing I'm on the fence about is history, while extremely handy for making sure you are getting a good price, does allow for a lot more manipulation of the system and the economy.

Can an item search let me put an item up for sale without having to deal with the dumb chore of placing a retainer in a ward?

I don't know if anyone's said this before, but it bears repeating if it has: The wards constrict the ability to sell HQ items of high value when the wards already have 20+ sellers of the same item. There is no possible way to know that the item is being sold at all without going to each and every ward and checking all the sellers while having no guarantee that an HQ might be in there anywhere.

This would be far less of a problem if people would just spread out and quit acting as though Ul'dah is the only place in the game you can put a retainer/do quests.

That survey is kind of irrelevant considering the diversity of options and the fact that people were limited in the number they could pick.. really what it says is 76% of people did not think AH was a priority..

More importantly, let it go people.. this topic will not be addressed for at least a year..
