I think I invested into a feature that is designed perfectly for what I expected. Your problem is that you're trying to change a game feature that doesn't need changing.

If you want to turn this into another "I want to have my solo FC cake and eat it too," go right ahead. I don't particularly care for housing upkeep fees either, and I explained why. Unlike you, my reasons don't include being in a solo FC.
