Just do roulette and you'll cap them by the end of the week. I don't understand soldiery farm parties, there's nothing to farm.

Reaching the cap is not hard if you are after a Novus weapon. Majority of my tomes come from Expert roulette without really noticing it. Rest comes from tribe quests and random fights like Coil or Primals. My main character is (if outside of Coil) almost 100% equipped with them and now I start with the other characters I play. Most of the time, without doing much or better said working towards it, I reach the Cap on Friday. I can't remember how bad it was at 2.0 where Myth capped at 300 already. I know the dungeons dropped less myth than today but 450 is a pretty tight limit. So the problem is NOT to reach it lol.

Some give way to much skillspeed for my liking, but don't give accuracy. What is the sense in having ilvl100 when I can't hit the mobs in coil?

I've never capped tomes except by accident and I play many hours. New gear... I'll get it when I get it.
But too, I also look at the ACC & other stats on the new stuff and plan carefully how to (or whether to) upgrade my gear.

I will keep capping mine, but people have increasing number of alternatives. Syrcus Tower will have i100 armor loot, and Allied Seals from The Hunt will buy some new gear sets apparently as seen in pictures on Lodestone. I personally wanna keep getting soldiery for multiple classes, including the masterworks weapons.

Don't underestimate the iLevel 100 Strat items. True, a lot of them are not good for Coil. But outside of Coil, they are very nice dmg and EHP wise. I have 2 gear sets, one for coil which is a mixture of Strat, Myth and Coil 1 / Primal items to reach the Acc cap and the other one for everything else and that one is almost 100% Strat tomes items. When I compare P***** results, dmg wise, the Strat items setup is a lot better than the ACC setup for Coil.

I generally tank bray HM and at this point, theres nothing else I can get with soldiery that would actually be an upgrade for me. Everything that I don't have pretty much has skill speed or some other stat thats not all that great. I have alts but my drive to gear those out isn't as high as my main so there are weeks that I just don't bother with capping my soldiery.

I stopped capping soldiery once I got my full Tank set for my WAR. Might start working at it once I level my PLD. I've just been more interested in leveling crafting so that I can get more of those nice glamour pieces without having to spend lavishly on them.

I only do roulette and dungeons on my secondary classes, usually tank, because MNK sucks for dungeon crawling. None of them really have much in the way of soldiery equips.
