Most of the groups I DF with have I90 and said they aren't bothering with spamming instances for soldiery stuff or bothering with the animus quest. It's boring grind and it will just be obsolete soon, anyway.

The hamster wheel is only fun for so long before people hop off.

I cap only to gear my second job now since my first job is capped.

I do cap soldiery each week in my pursuit of the mythos bonuses via the roulettes. For now I just let it cap (near 2k) then buy a few pieces for jobs I have heavily neglected.
As far as looks I am not a huge fan of the way the daystar or the evenstar look so I just glamour Coils V1 or Ilvl 90 gear over it. Although that only affects 1 job, this does fully gear up a smn, sch, whm, and blm which all already have zenith weapons.

I use those weapons to far atma periodically. The end goal is to get a few sets before the 2.4 release so I can add the ninja Atma to my collection immediately upon level completion. After all of that I may bring my bard up to par. In the end Soldiery is a low priority but I end up with it during my Mythos hunts.

As far as Brayflox that is one of my favorite dungeons which I do often but I don't do the 1st 2 boss speeds, as I would like to have a shot at the monkey each run.

I know Soldiery gear is not as good as 2nd coils, but after burning way too much gaming time to the point of almost loosing interest in the game all together, I have decided to skip the coils treadmill.
I don't see the need to go join a static (due to the way the lockouts work) and pretty much consume all of my game time just to get gear that in 2.4 will just become old school (mythos gear) or by the next major update (probably the expansion) become worth less than darklight (due to the new level cap). So I use the soldiery to at least keep me up enough to do content and speeds (full runs) with people, since i am a healer. This allows me to still enjoy the game with my limited time. Most of my game time still goes into crafting, and gardening, where i have unlocked every master book and, complete the tool for 5 of them.

I cap my Sold every week easily days before the reset just by doing dailies. It's really easy. Though I guess for people who don't/can't play as often it might be harder to do.

I'm like some others. I cap it now just because I do my daily roulette for alex map. It's not a bad idea to cap it, for secondary class's or for saving up for the Garlond Ironworks weapons. Sense very soon we'll be able to get them from doing CT. Well at least the first stage, which still isn't bad imo. I hope the raise the cap on soldiery just a hair.

I used to rush the capping of the soldiery.

Now I do 1 expert duty roulette a day and finish capping by the weekend because I have no rush due thanks to alexandrite being the only content in my that's in my way. lol longevity.

You're assuming that the people you are playing with are on their mains. I've got all my Soldiery bits for SMN, but just the one for WHM/SCH and nothing for PLD and MNK. And as Tank queues are so fast I spend most of my time DF'ing content on PLD.

That being said, why would they even need it? You can beat the Expert Roulette dungeons in i60-70, you don't need to be over i90 to do it.

I cap them every week, but I admittedly like to play every job for the most part, so I've been spreading my resources around. I only recently finally ran out of myth upgrades for my jobs.

But I've also mainly been buying soldiery accessories too. I'll be more apt to seriously gear and mix and match after 2.3 with the new CT gear as another weekly upgrade.

I wear Soldiery, but i have it all glamoured to look like my i90 Myth gear.

Quite frankly, because the soldiery equipment looks like crap for just about all jobs.

I am willing to believe it is the same for a lot of people, hence why you dont "see" them in soldiery, but they truly are.
