Usually I like to leave my thoughts on a topic and call it a day, but this is too abrasive to not reply to.20mins+, where the hell is that, even uldah to camp tranquil doesnt take 20 mins... do people even play this game anymore? like i said before from one end of Thanalan to the the rend barely takes 15 mins. I think people are misleaded by the exaggerated map in this game, have any of you seen the speed of your cursor on the map move when u run?
If you need anima to travel to Horizon, Drybone, Bluefog from uldah, where all within 7-10 mins,... sry it seems you used anima way too much and let ur imagination run wild.
If the topic was that people teleport a zone away too often, I'd understand why you're getting antagonistic with me - but the OP suggests ditching anima entirely. "Do people even play this game anymore?" ... Do people even read the topics they're replying to?
I'm thinking more along the lines of a solid night of NM hunting. Glory to Nophica to Bald Knoll to Glory etc. etc. etc. That walk, does indeed, take longer than 20 minutes.
Thus, I defend Anima's existence for all players even after we get from city to city on ships and city to camp on chocoback. I use this example because it's a common occurrence in large groups and not something as seldomly traversed as a storyline quest. That would take a long time to walk through, however people advising to suck it up and walk would have a better chance of being taken seriously than someone claiming a full party of 8 shouldn't have the ability to make it from NM to NM in a timely fashion by sharing the teleportation costs. That's just how this game works and I, for one, enjoy that fact.
As much as I love a lively debate, calling my response to the OP out and arguing against it with irrelevant nonsense about how some players can't be bothered to walk from a city to its own camps gives me no discussionly inclination but to tell you to shut the $%*# up.

anima = POS
airship and chocobo will be better. they can bring back warp/teleport spells and scrolls
10 pages later and still cheerleading...
the average human being spends a time of 75DAYS on the toilet taking a dump in his life time...... i don't want to spend double that running around in this game when i don't need to be. Content is king ...ty.

Haha, "Do people even read the topics they're replying to?" sadly your one of those that saw the title and jump to the last few pages i assume, if u follow the thread from start, you would know that many ppl wanted to cap maximum unlike how the OP wanted, none of my responses(from the start to end) was never about complete eradication of the anima system but to limit it.
The discussion further raged on because people were complaining about going to near by camps(skull valley horizon etc), no one in right mind would walk all the way to Camp Glory or Emrald Moss to get to the NMs. Like i stated many times Teleport should be used for longer distance travel like Coerthas and Mor Dhona, not camp you could get to within 5-12 mins.
Again if your too busy to go back and properly read the entire thread, i can safely say main topic in the last 30 pages about limiting it not eradicating it.
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
The idea of limits doesn't really bug me - though it is limited to begin with. I just don't think it's going to be something people even think about after alternative forms of transportation are around. Who is really going to be sitting around saying things like, "Look at all this Anima I've got. They should really take it away just in case I'm tempted to not walk anywhere." I haven't been under 80 in the entire time I've been in the game - but I like having the option to just blow it all on sightseeing and story quests if I feel like it.
I'm amazed by all of the passion spent arguging over something that doesn't affect people and is easy to adjust to regardless of what players who aren't you are doing. If a player only logs in for a few hours and doesn't want to waste time walking, fine with me. If I feel like walking, I do - why would I waste my time bitching about how easy it is for Mr. Casual to get around? It doesn't affect me in the slightest.

Please give a good reason why teleporting should be taken away? I teleport hardly ever, but recently I have been doing it since I have been frustrated walking around, as soon as I dipped to 79-83 I stopped and continued walking again. If I am some where far in gridania, (already a maze) there is a chance I am not going to be near a chocobo npc, I may want to teleport/return to another camp, for 1 anima, or teleport to gridania and only waste 2 anima, if this is gone then it will cause more stress, removing it is stupid.
What the devs should do is increase the amount of anima given per reset.
Maybe im crazy but, why not just take it out all together in the sense that we can teleport anytime we want? Then there is no need to regenerate more of it per reset right?Please give a good reason why teleporting should be taken away? I agree, I fancy myself a casual pooper and as such I would like to install a toilet in my couch.
