Truth be told the first thing I did with glamours was find a set that is equippable by every class while still looking nice - now all my lvl 50 Classes have the exact same outfit
some may call this boring but I prefer my char to be recognizable no matter what class I'm on.

But diversity is always a good thing, so I'm supporting Your cause

TOTALLY agree. My white mage and scholar are both wearing the Daystar set (hideous) and I have them glamoured to the Cashmere robe and Saurian boots. However, I would definitely prefer if whm and sch were able to have separate glamours using the same ugly Daystar set.

The same will be true when I obtain the Evenstar set for my blm and smn.

My tanks now look the exact same except for the weapon ofc. I with to change 2 pieces for my PLD. I would still be recognizable and it keeps us a bit more busy in game. xD

I do like people who try to create the same look. I just don't find myself doing that since I play healer and dps too. Don't want them to look tanky (which is not possible) or my tanks look all linen clothy like.
