Glamour system

Probably would have been better if they'd just had costume slots that you glamoured onto, rather than directly glamouring your gear, and have that save to your gear set along with everything else. I'm sure they'd cite memory issues for this, though.

And yes, this becomes VERY annoying since gear is shared between jobs. Expect that to get WAY WORSE when they add more jobs, because there will be way more sharing than there is now.

I've actually gimped my WHM because I don't want it to use my SCH glamour on it. (I feel like SCH should be more playful, so I went with a jester look. WHM, however, feels like it should be more elegant and refined, so I have robes.) My SCH is i92 while my WHM is i85 just because I don't want them to both have the same outfit. xD

I agree! I want to play scholar but I can't glamour the scholar skirt cause then I can't use the glamour I use for my white mage so I don't.
A simple fix would be to release job based gear and not just tank/healer/monk/dragoon/caster. It just seems lazy to me

This is one more good thing about the upcoming i100 gear from CT2. Eventually, my white mage and scholar can have different looks. One can have the Daystar set and the other can use whatever the new healer set is called.

Except when you were to have an i110 body, you would want to use it for both your SCH and WHM. I know that for healers the t7 body is better for WHMs, but what if it wasn't? This is the situatoin for tanks: the i110 upgraded SoL body is good for both PLD and WAR. You wouldn't be able to have a different look for both unless you would gimp one which isn't the intention of glamouring.

I would love a system for multiple glamours. I love my paladin glamour set, but I'd love to have more than one I could switch between without having to spend time/money every time I wanted to switch. I think a system like this would also solve the OP's problem.

As a friend said, that is why vanity slots would have worked better than glamour. You know, the simple system which most MMOs have, without the need to reinvent the wheel....

I personally like my set that I have for WHM/SCH that works for both, but I do agree that it is annoying to HAVE to find something that is equippable by both classes to glamour soldiery gear too. I LIKE that I can have the same gear on both my healer classes so they're both the same ilvl, but I LOVE the Graduation cap/glasses look you can get for scholars, the schoolteacher/schoolgirl look is pretty sweet, but I couldn't glamour that to the soldiery set because my WHM would then have to look awful in Daystar.

The implementation of this with the current system COULD be confusing... Now I like the way glamours work... I mean I can glamour lower level gear that's spiritbonded and then make materia out of it and that frees up space. Vanity slots would not allow for this because you'd have to keep the vanity gear on you. BUT if they maybe tied it to the Soul Crystals? Like how when you equip a soul crystal your macro bar changes because it's a new class.

Either way, I don't expect anything like this to happen anytime soon because the system is already in place and they'd need to do a lot of trial and error to change the system from how it is now.

Even if you got a popup when glamoring that says "This gear is equippable by CJR, WHM, SCH, which classes do you want to receive this glamour?" That would be a nice feature. And if only 1 or 2 of those have a glamour then the glamour function would still be available for the others. And this also allows people that DO want to have the same glamour for all Healers/Tanks/DPS/Casters to not need to glamour multiple times just to have all classes looking like that.
