People play how they want to play there job. Get of it and bloody stop having a moment and being so serious. You pay your fee so i'm sure u play the way which u enjoy so let other people do the same. I play my Job how i believe it should be played plan a simple. And i have never had any problems.

So, if I joined a party with you on my tank it would be ok for me to use caster gear for "more flashes and stoneskins" and to auto attack one mob at a time, ignoring the rest? Because that may be how I want to play that day. to quote "I pay my fee I'll play as I want".

Or maybe I want to stand at the back and let others tank and spam cure on my PLD.

AS long as everyone doesn't die over and over again i could not give to shits what u do to be honest with you lol. If that's how you play and it works for you and it has work in the past cause u have fully tested it out good for you. But i wouldn't start complaining at u tilling you to get a flipping clue and learn how to do ur job right like i see people do to other people. But you comment about standing at back is just screaming trolling only a troll would do that lol.

It is a rather welcome thing that so many want to help others in DF, etc in this game. Unfortunately some people simply don't want the help.

Not really sure how this thread ballooned like it did- bad players are bad, and most people should agree that there is a very basic way to play the game. There is in fact a very basic rotation for each job that will allow you to bumble through dungeons. We are not talking optimal, we are talking, like "halone combo and then flash". The game was designed specifically with these basic rotations in mind. Again I am not talking about anything complex here.

If a player can't do that, and they will not listen to advice, then there really is no helping.

Put bluntly, you don't go into a fist fight expecting slaps. Of course no one expects pro k1 fighting techniques either.

You think its someone's job to keep you from dying over and over and over again? Honestly, do you expect to get to the end of a dungeon in 90 minutes when you enter a roulette? I mean that's extreme elitist behavior. People should be able to enjoy the game as they see fit; if you manage to get Soldiery or are able to kill the last boss that's just a bonus. The experience should be its own reward.

I Think you didn't understand what i was talking about and u gone on a rant because i don't think it someones job to keep me alive. Don't go around fing thinking like you know what i expect from people playing this game. Cause one you don't know me.

So on one hand you say it's ok to play as you want. yet if it affects you it's an issue? Whys hould I care if everyone is dieing? I'm playing how I want to play, something you stated that others can't call me up on.

I gave extreme examples of how I could "play as I want" and cause issues for completing the dungeon. Something the OP pointed out what was happening in their dungeon, yet thats ok because it was a DPS? Double standards are bad.

In OP case from what i understand. BLM wasn't creating any issues he/she was still attacking just wasn't playing the Job how some people would believe it should be played.

IS that a problem, no. If every1 was dieing to a point that no one could get past 1 bosses or a certain part of a level, yes that would suck a little. But its nothing to be pissed of about or to get rude.

U gave an extreme example unbelievable to be correct. Like i said, if it has worked before good for u. Doesn't matter ether a DPS or a Tank. I don't see how that is double standards. Every1 has the right to play how they want. Dose it suck when some people do this? to u it might but for me it doesn't. This just means that i have to be on point with my job, i wont get upset. At the end of the day that's life. U deal with it & U move on.

I remember running toto-rak one time. The tank would do nothing but use rage of Halone. Which in addition to being ineffective was extremely irritating as it makes a rather loud succession of noises every time it's activated. We couldn't kick the tank at the time and none of us wanted to spend another hour in the duty finder (nor did any of us have the time) and when the tank was asked to consider using a basic rotation he abrasively refused... So what ended up happening is I stopped healing him like he was the main tank, asked the lancer to try to hold aggro and coordinated sleeps with the black mage to make the pulls more manageable (The lancer did an astounding job given the circumstances and he should be proud of himself).

The point of the story is that because the main tank 'played the way he wanted' the lancer did not get to play the way he wanted, and his alternative option was not to play at all. Nor was I too thrilled at having to do a ton of extra work trying to keep a three man + liability party alive. What you're proposing is not entirely fair to everyone.

Except that person's rotations were so bad that even with myth gear killing things in AK was slow. Imagine how much of a burden they'll be in fights that aren't actually built to be facerolled when you let them delude themselves into thinking they can play like a child slapping their keyboard. There's playing how you want and then there's someone being a burden because they're playing what's meant to be a team game with a solo "me me me" attitude.
