I'll be honest here:

Watching cutscenes at the inn instead of when I'm doing the storyline for the first time sucks and really takes away my enjoyment of the story. Getting left behind in Praetorium really ruined that last part of the storyline for me since people cleared the content faster than the storyline cutscenes progressed.

On the other hand. When I'm doing my DR I also don't wait for people watching cutscenes unless I really have to (like if both healers are watching them, though once I got locked in the final boss of Castrum with a BRD and we were able to clear it, so I might revise this), because I want to do other stuff with my limited time too.

In conclusion: though having the storyline integrated with dungeons is pretty awesome and makes it more memorable, it simply doesn't mesh well with people wanting to farm tomestones, so I hope SE never does it again.

Agreed. Or at least finds a way to guarantee that a user doing roulette dungeon finder won't end up in the same dungeon as someone watching the first time.

Let's see you do your Dr when I'm healing it and the other new Person is the 2nd healer and wants to watch Cs. Wanna kick them? I'll leave to just to put you in your place. Have fun waiting for 2 healers. I hate when people are dicks to new players and I'll do everything in my power to see them accommodated instead of abused so they can enjoy the game. And maybe they'll have a good attitude and do the same for someone in that spot in e future.

I'm with you there. If I see notice that there is a new player in the group, and they are watching the cut scenes, and the elitist jerks vote kick him out, then the group also loses a healer. I refuse to play with people who abuse the vote kick feature and pick on people because they are new. They aren't worth my heals.

Honestly, the fact people are running it just to farm, instead of the tomes being just a small incentive, suggests the incentive is too high. Cut that incentive in half, and I bet the elitists who want to speed run everything, will stick to content that will actually be what they truly want.

You aren't contributing to the clearing of the instance if you're afk watching cutscenes. One or two people do that you're directly hampering the other player's progression through the zone and depending on your class that could classify as harassment. So, yeah, you'd most likely be kicked in most parties I've seen in Story Roulette.

You're right, I do. I treat it as a dungeon like any other and the majority rule wins. You want to dick around watching cutscenes while the other 7 people are forced to wait you can pretty much guarantee I'll be one of the people voting to kick your arse out the instance.

Such a player as yourself shouldnt be queueing for Story roulette. Ever.

If you feel you need myth then the issue is not your poor choices of doing something you shouldnt be doing (i.e. specifically queueing for a dungeon that is literally labeled as -story- aka watching cut scenes) its probably the lack of variety to collect the obscene amount of myth to do nearly anything in this game.

An easy fix for this is not allowing vote kick of a "first time player."

The system knows when a new player enters and instance (that little notice pops up and says something like "swift completion for completing duty will be grated for first time completion reward." Or whatever it says.)

So its easy to just not allow kicking a new player. Simple.

Have common sense.. everyone.

New players are playing this game, if youre in a rush dont use duty finder. Get your raid/FC/LS to run dungeons with aka brayflox.

More advanced players are playing this game, if you want to take your time and watch cutscenes, get your FC/LS or use party finder and click that button: "Slow and Easy," and "Story focused, no cutscene skipping."

First I guess it's a good thing both story dungeons can be solo healed, you leaving just opens the door for someone else that is there to actually get something done.
Second if the reward was too low, you are right, people would stop running it and new people would once again be on the forums complaining that it takes them over four hours for a party to form. This was already an issue and the reason that the main scenario roulette with it's current rewards was added.

Or they could just add a story roulette route that you get great rewards on once a day but the cutscenes CAN'T be skipped. Then story players would get decent queues, no one gets votekicked, and anyone who doesn't feel like the reward is the worth the time spent watching cutscenes can just skip it.

Just speaking from personal experience, but every time a tank or healer has left in Main Story roulette, they are replaced almost immediately. I've even tanked them on my BRD, although that's not the ideal solution.

Did you not read the first sentence, that both can be solo healed, so if a healer leaves, they can carry on. So...I laugh at your reading comprehension and retention, or lack thereof.
