I am a SCH/WHM, ilvl 105, and I run low levels with SCH so I can DPS and make the run go faster because Eos is OP, and who doesn't like saving time? At the level of Tam-tara, we only get 1 cross-class skill and I put cleric stance before protect so the party doesn't get protect. Have always done tam-tara this way and no matter what gear the tank had or how much he lost aggro, Eos heals all. Does anyone else do this?

I get into this tam-tara today and a lvl 50 bard with some soldiery gear says "no protect?", I say no and the bard is like "what kind of dumb shit is that". I did joke and said cleric stance is more important, then he calls me an idiot and I get vote kicked which I partly deserved for calling him an idiot back. But seriously is it that unsettling to not have protect at lvl.16? Routine is comfort? Or can some players really not read the situation? (ie Eos is healing everyone without protect while healer hasn't even needed to come out of cleric stance to throw additional heals).

Tl;dr: Lvl 50 bard afraid to run tam-tara without protect...

You que as a healer so your main job is to heal.
If you want to DPS so badly, que as a DPS.
They had every right to kick you.

Yes Tamtara is an easy dungeon, but I was running it a few days ago as a level 50 tank but with all the level sync, I still need healing.
My white mage thought "hur dur im gonna spam cleric stance" and at on point I almost died because I was down to about 1% hp from him not healing me.
So yes, that protect actually saved me (along with the 1 cool down I could actually use).

If you don't want to do your job, and you act rude when people point this fact out, don't be surprised that they kick you.

(Although I've seen a few healers like you and instead of arguing I just cast protect and stoneskin myself as a paladin.)

If you see it as so easy, then why care about Cleric Stance? You have 2 DPS and you're not saving any real time by adding another 10% to your attack (stone only, at that level).

With SCH, i see no issue with what you did. Eos is more than able to solo heal anything upto and including Manor for the most part. I regularly use SCH for low level dungeons because the added dps i can do with dots and bane are fantastic.
Protect isn't that important at low levels. If Eos can't keep the tank and everyone else up with the occasional spot heal from the SCH themselves, then protect wouldn't do much anyway.

Depending on stat allocation it could be more than 10% because of the int/mind swap. That said it's also far more than stone as they're queuing as a scholar. That means that it would be effecting miasma, bio, and ruin. As someone who leveled a lot as a scholar in low level roulette dotting up every target while eos keeps your party alive does greatly speed up the run. Eos is completely overpowered at such levels allowing the "healer" to function as another dps for the most part while Eos heals.

tam-tara isn't hard at all. Just like you said, Eos can solo heal the whole run with a few spot healing here and there. I have completed this dungeon many times without having protect on my hotbar and having Cleric-stance on the whole run. Just take the kick with a grain of salt and be happy you didn't have to endure the run with such closeminded players.

Yeah, I forgot that he was coming in as SCH, so he's not as limited with attacks as CNJ/WHM. Silly, noob question: what does EoS stand for?

I do this all the time queue as SCH cast prot. Change cross skill into cleric stance and roll.

EoS is the fairy that a scholar gets at level thirty that replaces the summon1 pet that arcanists use. It has a single target heal, an aoe regen, and a short term mdefense buff. At level 40 it also gets a cure potency buff.
