I am a SCH/WHM, ilvl 105, and I run low levels with SCH so I can DPS and make the run go faster because Eos is OP, and who doesn't like saving time? At the level of Tam-tara, we only get 1 cross-class skill and I put cleric stance before protect so the party doesn't get protect. Have always done tam-tara this way and no matter what gear the tank had or how much he lost aggro, Eos heals all. Does anyone else do this?

I get into this tam-tara today and a lvl 50 bard with some soldiery gear says "no protect?", I say no and the bard is like "what kind of dumb shit is that". I did joke and said cleric stance is more important, then he calls me an idiot and I get vote kicked which I partly deserved for calling him an idiot back. But seriously is it that unsettling to not have protect at lvl.16? Routine is comfort? Or can some players really not read the situation? (ie Eos is healing everyone without protect while healer hasn't even needed to come out of cleric stance to throw additional heals).

Tl;dr: Lvl 50 bard afraid to run tam-tara without protect...

If you want to DPS so badly, que as a DPS.

Yes Tamtara is an easy dungeon, but I was running it a few days ago as a level 50 tank but with all the level sync, I still need healing.
My white mage thought "hur dur im gonna spam cleric stance" and at on point I almost died because I was down to about 1% hp from him not healing me.
So yes, that protect actually saved me (along with the 1 cool down I could actually use).

If you don't want to do your job, and you act rude when people point this fact out, don't be surprised that they kick you.

(Although I've seen a few healers like you and instead of arguing I just cast protect and stoneskin myself as a paladin.)

It's a bit more difficult as a whm because there is no pet constantly spamming embrace like a very potent regen. Im not surprised they might've messed up the cleric stance dance by making poor judgement.That is why I go in as sch.Yes I queued as a healer, but that is because I can do my job and I know I can add the extra DPS that can make the run go faster instead of setting the tank on follow and afking while the pet heals like I've heard people do. But then again they also got commendation for doing so.

Please read the original post again because I'm pretty sure the situation was I was getting verbally abused first for not having protect and that may have set me off to use his own words towards him and call him an idiot back. But your argument is invalid because no one was near half health let alone dead before I was kicked. If I see the tank pull the whole dungeon I will come out of cleric stance. It's what I call playing from experience.

Cross classing to suit insecurity in a low level dungeon isn't "not doing your job". They clearly can keep you healed and dps to make the dungeon faster. What you are referring to is a bad healer, not the OP. I do this all the time. I choose cleric for dps when only 1 cross class is effective, and swift when 2 is. Because by then you have access to resurrection and it is more vital to quick cast rez IF something does hit the fan. But it never does, because it is a low level dungeon. I could solo Tama Tara on sch. Protect is useless in these situations if you OR your fairy is doing their job. Again, what you have is a bad healer that didn't do their job.

If you are healing, (whether it's you or the fairy) then you're doing your job. Nobody has the right to complain! :P Healers DPSing are just a bonus and if someone complains that you aren't doing your job, you say "my job is to heal, and you look healed to me!" So if you get kicked for not DPSing then that's harassment because you're not a DPS.

When I go as as tank I never expect my healer to DPS. If he is, cool, if not idgaf as long as you heal me bro! Whether it's you or the fairy I just wanna get my roulette bonus & be out! lol. If the DPs are doing their job, the dungeon will go by quick anyway and the extra "5 minutes saved" with healer DPS isn't that significant to be honest.

Also, when my healer looks bored, I go pick up more guys or don't bother dodging AOEs lolol

And then they kicked YOU out. What about the guy that acted like that? Probably buddies who go through healers like McD's goes through cashiers. I've found a new respect for every class as I go through them. The strengths and weaknesses of which I was not aware come to light quickly. Tanking looks easy, right? Bang on something and flash once in a while. Shoot, I shield lob, flash, even show my butt crack to some of these guys and they go after the healer! Then as a MRD, I find out that I don't have as much flash because my MP is lower than GLA. Shoot, gotta make up for that. I need a middle finger move. It happens, and I have to suck it up and do my best. I see tanks throw protect all the time, now I know why. The ARC or BRD may not have been aware, and maybe the conversation could have gone differently, but if the first thing I say to you when we meet for the first time is, "What kind of a dumb shit are you?", we might not have a great relationship out of the gate.

Youre assuming that b/c your herp derp healer almost let you die that the OP is the same way. No. personally if I go sch i will cleric stance in tam tara, and i will keep the party alive. And if someone calls me out of my name(like they called the OP an idiot), rest assured I would not let them get away with it. And if in the end they vote-kick me like they did the op, ill just que again.
